That one sef is cheap. Got mine just a selfcontain for 200k agreement nd commission plus damages 60,60, 20 respectively. The area is cool as there is constant light and proximity to close areas in lagos.

Nah, not there. But I had to bring that to light because I think one of the reasons Landlords and agents wanna know where you work is to ascertain if you'd be able to continue paying the rent or not. In fact, while filling the form, I was asked who would pay the rent and I wrote "self".
Also true, landlord may be a pain in the ass because the maywanna monitor your every move. But diplomacy is key irrespective of whomever it is.

Another thing i found out in Lagos is, Its better to live in a house where the Landlord does not reside. In my previous place, during my NYSC, my landlady kept checking the Ladies i bring into the house, she's a spirit Koko church type. Telling me this is not allowed in her house.

That was a big turnoff for me, I had to leave that house even before my rent was due.

Nah I plan my movements well and it's good to know everyone's principles and policies. My friends do know that you don't come to my house without informing me and getting my consent is key. If I wanna spend the night at someone's place, I call to inform to inform before hand and ask if it's okay to come over. Don't tell me how to live my life inugo?

I remember when i got admission @16 and my guardian in d same state said i must stay with her because i was too young to b living alone,say i fit get belle sef because of too much 'freedom' and i was like 'emagbami ke'.

I told her about my interest in tailoring and to have a fashion store after nysc,she said 'God forbid' how can a university grad stoop so low to become a tailor. Few mths after i started my first job,i just cooked up one story dat my company provided accomodation to all staffs staying on d mainland. Omolomo larin ero, I rented an apartment,learnt as many skills as possible,switch jobs,did business as i like. I hardly invite my female friends to d house sef not to talk of a guy. Life is too short to be bothered abt 'society view'.

I live alone and my landlord asked where I worked. I gave him the location not the company's name he insisted, when I told him the company's name lasan, omo see respect.
I stay alone because my family house is far to my workplace and it was spelling doom for my job security, omo I respect my self and got an apartment. But I have my own set rules. If you come my house unplanned, na outside you go sleep, ive done it for 2people before.
