Hello, my wife is about to begin her Form A application for payment of her school fees. Does she need to generate payment ID from Flywire?

Her school provided Flywire as one of the means through which school fees could be paid. However, we want to process her school fees payment via Form A. So, an ID still need to be generated from the Flywire Portal in completing the Form A?

Thank you.

Yes. Flywire is a payment method. Form A provides the dollars.

Form A takes within 60 days these days and flywire ideal window for transfer receipt is 30 days.
They can extend the receipt for an additional 14 days (it has been done for me before) and even more if you engage/notify them of the situation timely.
I can recall I interacted with them days and sometimes a week to my deadline reminding them that FX was a challenge in Nigeria and I was assured of their assistance where necessary.
Now if the payment is made using the details on the flywire receipt, flywire will receive the inflow into their account but they may want to be reluctant to check due to the long wait time. Nonetheless, they will not receive your inflow and claim they did not.

Thank you John. I did contact them. They said when the bank transfers the money, I should send them a mail attaching the SWIFT copy and create a new payment, and they will take it from there. However, they informed me that if there’s a change in FX, I will balance the remaining. Thank you for your response.

Good day gurus, please advise on what to do .
socially4fun:
I used Flywire to process my tuition payment. I used the payment ID to apply for Form A. I have been waiting since October for Form A, but it has not yet been approved. I got a mail from Flywire that the payment window has expired and the payment closed. They said I should create a new payment. But that would generate a new payment ID, and I have already used the initial payment ID in my form A application. Please advise on what to do. I asked and they said the payment deadline can not be extended.

Gurus in the house please advise. I have been waiting since October for Form A.

Please mention the names of your supporting documents in sop. It should be a comprehensive letter of intent. Don't leave a vo wondering or guessing what documents you attached.

If you meant renaming each document so you can upload and reference them individually then you can't because you're to upload a single file document of your supporting documents merged together and arranged orderly.

Well elaborated. Thank you.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by socially4fun: 9:45pm On Nov 12, 2022
johnstan:

Simply ensure your documents are arranged in a systematic order before uploading. Once the documents are merged into one file as supporting documents you will not be able to identify each document by a specific filename and that makes your attempt to specifically reference documents on your SOP nearly impossible.

Arrange bank related docs together, school related docs like loa, fees payment receipts etc together, work related docs like your study leave, letter of intro etc together, your IDs sponsor's IDs etc just like that.

Hopefully I understood your question and answered it correctly.

Oh, thanks. So it is not a must to mention the supporting documents in the SOP?

Just do a table of contents for your supporting documents.

Hello everyone.

How best can one reference supporting documents in SOP? Can one write (see filename.pdf) for example?

After paying first semester tuition, can one get scholarships for second semester in colleges?

Asking because paying the full tuition might not qualify one for a scholarship if there is.

Name : Flywire Payments Corporation
Phone Number : +1 800 346 9252
Email : support@flywire.com
IBAN : Routing Number on your generated receipt
Payment mode : Telex

I just read that IBAN is not the same as routing number. IBAN is short for international bank account number, therefore, the account number given on the invoice should be used.

Check well. The invoice you generated should come with an authorization letter, authorizating flywire to receive the payment on behalf of the school. If it's not there, then you should include one. And the payment ID should be on the last page of the invoice. That's how my flywire invoice was.

Yeah, I saw that. It is included in the third page of the invoice. But in my understanding, the authorization to debit as explained above is what authorizes the bank to debit the naira account for the dollar equivalence. It is different from the one in the invoice document. Thank you for your input.

Yes. You have to. Something like the attached image.

Also upload your admission letter , international passport , School invoice, undergraduate certificate or O level certificate if you are going for an undergraduate program.

Thank you so much. Well elaborated.

Put it in your authorization to debit letter
Then make sure you upload the receipt generated from flywire to the trade system portal

Oh, I need to write an authorization to debit letter?

What about the payment ID/reference generated by Flywire? I don’t see where to fill it in and it is highlighted as important in the invoice.

Hi guys, I need help in filling out form A on the TRMS portal. I generated my invoice from Flywire and I noticed there are some required fields needed to complete the form which are not included in the invoice. The required fields are beneficiary email, phone and IBAN.

Also, on the bank details section, it asks for payment mode. I want to choose dom account, but I got confused since a naira account number is demanded in the next field.

And there is no section to input the payment ID/reference generated by Flywire.

Please if there is a guide to filling the form A, or if this question has already been answered, please point me to it. I have searched NL and couldn’t find any. Thank you.

Have you tried checking your email? Meanwhile I will advise that you Go to your bank and complain, it could be that your BVN wasn't linked to your email address.

Thank you.

It means that the email address you registered on the trade Portal is not updated on your BVN. Get your Bank to update your email on your BVN and retry.

Thank you.

Yea that's why people opt for form A. The challenge there is the 4-6 weeks wait time and payment deadlines

Good luck

Exactly why I didn’t go for it. There’s a deadline.

Also, I have been trying to register on tradesystem portal but I have not received any OTP after inputting my BVN. Do you know how I can address this?

Alright, you will still be charged for the transfer. It's not free.

Even local transfers aren't free.

You can generate your bank statement to see the narration if you were debited the chargers separately. If it was debited along with the principal funds then you can contact them to know how much the charge is.

Good luck.

Yeah, was just surprised at the cost. $45 at black market rate is 32k naira.

Thank you.

Wire transfers are not free. You will be charged the CBN form A charges and sometimes some offshore charges.

You will not be charged for converting the currency if your invoice is in USD and you are using your USD account.

If your invoice is in CAD you will be charged for conversation since your account is in USD.

Good luck.

I did not use form A. I transferred from my USD dom account to Flywire. The invoice was in USD too.

I used Flywire to generate a tuition deposit invoice of $1119 (1500 cad) and Access bank charged me $45 in charges. Is this normal? I feel the charges are much.

Hello socially

This your question is very clear.

You didn't state which is your home country,
you didn't state which country you presently working
you didn't also state how long you have been doing this remote Job..

Also take note Job is not the only factor for Home ties.......

Peace

Thank you for the response.

My home country is Nigeria, and I currently work remotely for a US company. I’ve been working remotely for four years.

It could be a red flag if the company you're working remotely for has an office in Canada.

If that's not the case, you're good to go but you won't get as much points as someone working for a company based in Nigeria. You will just have to convince the visa officer that you will return to Nigeria after graduating even though you work remotely.

Noted, thank you.
