lefulefu: Mothers are also human and can be bad or weak. Some might advise their sons privately but won't tell either woman anything; happened to a friend. In a scenario where a mother is absent, you think a father or an uncle will warn the women in involved? 1 Like |

lefulefu: Some single men are guilty of the above. What prevents a man whose wife or serious girlfriend lives in a different city or country from doing the above? Family and friends are generally loyal and will usualky not out a philanderer. My point is, things aren't always black or white; there are grey areas to consider. 1 Like |

Auladimeji: Even if slay queens were a different species who have no feelings and enjoy being tricked into being the side-chick, what about the feelings of the "marriageable" ladies who get the ring but have been cheated on? Inconsequential? Men need to understand that hurt more than one person when they do these things. Both the one you cheat on and the one you cheat with are someone's child, someone's little girl. 1 Like |

post=67384893: I'm not making any claims rather I'm making an observation. "Ri" and "Oha" aren't typical Northern Igbo words. Frankly, I couldn't care less what part of Igbo land he's from as I'm not clannish. You would never find me extolling any Igbo state over others. Towns at the border of Imo /Anambra speak dialects similar to the Anambra dialect, rather than the other way round as far as I'm aware. By stating that this is "Rather odd", I basically said this is unlikely rather impossible. 1 Like |

post=67383073: Rather odd, if the source is reliable, because that surname isn't consistent with Anambra /Enugu dialect. Perhaps his parents / grandparents moved from Imo /Abia. Flavour's hometown is cited on Wikipedia as Enugu, where he was raised, even though he is also said to be from originally from Anambra. Outside Nigeria, when asked where I'm from, I state where I and my parents grew up, not my state / town of origin. 1 Like |

phase1: Appears you misunderstood his answer. He didn't explicitly dismiss the idea of miscegenation; rather he cited cultural differences and language as deterrents. It could be inferred that he might consider a Nigerian woman raised / who's spent many years in Europe and who can communicate in German (or a closely related Germanic language) fluently. 2 Likes |

SnowJay92: Exactly. But a prostitute who was (almost) used for rituals makes for a better narrative to most Nigerians. As though, bad things only happen to bad people. On the God / god of their pastor, I always found it odd even when I attended the church. If I must personalise God, I'll insert my own name not that of someone else. Further evidence of backwardness. 1 Like |

adorable29: Africa is shockingly backward. Comments on Nairaland confirm this everyday, without fail. Poor lady might have been kidnapped and dropped off for whatever reason yet people chose to take pictures and videos, and to judge and condemn her, instead of assisting her. That's what happens when low IQ meets technology. In developed countries, where the technology is designed and built, the primary focus would be on rendering assistance before / while taking photos. Looks to me like a woman in distress or in shock. Prayers are great but not deliverance from madness; unless of course it was all staged. 3 Likes |
