Sorry for the late reply bro, had to work on my career episodes... we dont have much time our ielts is already 2 years.
Dec 22 to Mar 15? thats a long time o shocked shocked shocked I just paid yesterday. I paid for fast track services. Did you pay for fast track?
what stage are you at now? and which occupation?

yeah I paid for fast track. Like I said there was XMAS break till like 7th of Jan this year then I had a lot of back and forth with them as per my Pension .In fact I appealed because my 10yrs exp was reduced to 7.final decision was in June.

my stage right now is stage hoping and praying to God to get invitation to apply. VIC,SA and WA in that order are where I am putting my faith.
VIC has been the one with a tiny light of hope as they have contacted most of us eligible that we will be considered for selection

When did you lodge EOI boss and is it 491?

yeah 491.I lodged EOI this month .VIC said they won't pick EOIs that will expire in the next 12 months so I had to open a new one and discard the earlier one I had for VIC

I received a mail from VIC titled ROI UPDATE. it says I meet the eligibility criteria and will be considered for nomination in the next round.

I am trying to be calm and not attach any importance to this...please does this carry any weight/hope grin

what does it mean by implication?

thanks for your guidance always. God bless you

For those who raised 190 EOI for Victoria, have you received any emails from Victoria? I got a response to my ROI this morning and would like to know (from those who have more info or have gone through the process), what the next steps are.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the info. That's some good news there!

Please what's the difference between ROI and EOI?

so some states like NSW,SA ,VIC.etc will still require you to go to their own state portal and fill what they call Registration Of Interest (ROI) that they will use alongside the skillselect EOI by the fed govt/DHA.One of the information they will ask you there is your EOI ID.It is important to note these states so one does not just fill the EOI and not fill their ROI

Sorry, I meant WA & Victoria [Both require having a job offer]

fortunately VIC has not made getting a job an eligibility criteria for their newly released 22-23 guidelines.in fact theirs looks most attainable of all the ones I have seen so far. you may quickly need to do a ROI on their site as it is now open....goodluck!

yeah I am sure of WA and TAS .In fact TAS said they will give you 491 automatically if you have any sort of job secured already .I don't know how this will work and really it is discouraging .I have applied for so many jobs as a Telecommunication Engineer with 10yes experience but once the employer or agent see you are offshore, they will not contact you again. yes NT as per PF but jobhave they updated their site?

@tunlex01,

Pls what does this screenshot mean for Queensland 491. Does it mean that an applicant must be residing in these zipcode areas to be eligible to apply for Subclass 491? i.e. It's not open to offshore applicants?

I think what it means is that if given a 491, those post codes are areas that qualify as regional in QLN and they are places you must live

chief don't sleep on this profile o! on top of my head ,you have roughly 75 points(inclusive of 5 for spouse English and 15 for a 491 nomination).

get your skill assessment sorted out on time with EA. pay for fast track if you can especially if you intend applying for this 22-23 year that has not fully begun because of quota allocation. EA can be painfully slow (I paid Dec 22 ,2021 and got my result Mar 15,2022 though XMAS closure was a factor and had some back and forth with them)

I don't know how old your IETLS is but make it fast! this kind result no dey easy to get twice o...lol

Hi,
Please I need a little clarification.
As the main applicant, does my partner needs to run an assessment as well? Because, while going through the calculation, I could see an option for partner with competent English having 5points and also an option for a partner with required age limit, right English competency and nominated skill assessment with 10 points.

Your clarification on this will be appreciated.

it is not compulsory that your partner does skill assessment; it is just for an extra points if you are aiming for more additional points....tunlex01 will sure respond to you once he sees your enquiry

491 is a work visa.
No one can say. Fitter usually doesn’t require much points except there is a change in the new Financial year.
What is the reason for family coming to join later?
Personally, I’m not for it cos the stress of the application can be taken care once and for all and you all don’t have to land at the same time. You can land first then they rest of the family can join later.

thanks! this is very clear

@tunlex01...I greet you the Aussie oracle grin

Please I would like to seek a clarification .I have gone through WA guidelines for 22-23 year and seen some videos too. There seems to be a caveat that says for offshore applicants to stand a chance of being nominated, they need to have a job/contract for at least 12 months.

Now I do not know if I am the one that is not getting the context well as this is also a requirement for onshore applicants(who are of more priority) or same applies to offshore too.

And if so, how do you think that will work ?I mean like I have to look for a job say on seek.com.au and let the employer know I am applying for a 491.something like that...please help shed light on this if truly the requirement means an offshore applicant must have a job first

Thanks for all you do and may God ease your own affairs too.

This is likely a rookie CO mistake but don't fall for it.
Stand your ground that you will not be paying an extra dime and you need them to expedite action.
If they come up with any stupid appeal, reject it and let them know if this does not get resolved ASAP, you will be reporting them to the Ombudsman (Australian Competition & Consumer Commission). This should be your last resort.

Firstly, congratulations on your positive assessment.
EA is clear, only years with adequate 3rd party documents will be approved.
Please attach a screenshot showing the information of July 2012 to 214 (remove all personal details). You should not have accepted the letter from Leadway. You should have requested them to put it in the cover letter that they received a lump sum for those initial periods.
COs (assessing bodies or DHA) don't work with emotions; they follow guidelines. If your company stopped paying pension, reference letter cannot substitute for pension statement. So, I don't think that is the CO's fault.
Why is your current workplace stopped at May 2021? Do you reckon is any of the documents you submitted or reference letter dates?
Clarify all these then send a 'lovely' stinker to them via email detailing how stressed the assessment made you, the length of time and the impact of their wrong decision on your life and specify what you want as resolution (be specific that an appeal would not be a solution after all you the back and forth with the CO).

No you can't claim the 8 years experience

1.Please attach a screenshot showing the information of July 2012 to 214....see attached with the lump sum description in red mark
2.You should not have accepted the letter ...I actually sent them anther mail to please state that.no replies and I did not want to wait any longer to return the docs to EA plus I felt logic would prevail with a ref letter from the same firm already stating my start and stop dates. For the missing ones ,I cannot blame the CO truly but again I felt the ref letter with start and stop dates would suffice. Funny thing is my employment period between Feb 2016-Jun 2019 also had missing remittances but dude granted the whole 3 yrs. grin
3.Beats me why he had to cap my current work place as May 2021.yes ,my ref letter indicates when I joined and that I currently work there. again, the guy must have relied on my pension statement alone to draw his conclusion because the last month in that doc is Mar 2022 though no remittance has been paid there yet;last payment was Feb 2022(they did a global search on me between June 2014 and Mar 2022 as that is how the always pull statements)...I believe CO must have read Mar 2022 as May 2021(just me thinking though)

I have already fired them a mail stating my strong reservation and letting them know this is a pure case of oversight .I have also put a call across to them; customer care agent confirmed my mail had been seen and referred to the CO to give reasons or correct. I am hoping this will not drag into an appeal(I was advised there is a call for review first before an appeal).I also let them know this is more like a complaint. I am hoping/praying they can re-issue another one correcting the errors.(500AUSD for appeal this time no be beans and I no fit let go of the 5 points I swear grin)

Well I thought as much that I won't be able to claim 8yrs on skillselect so i have to wait till this is all sorted out...thanks for always dropping your inputs and advice. And pardon my long tale all the time; I always like to clarify issues and put in right context in order to get the right advice/response

Hello the great Aussie oracle! I have come to consult again grin...please pardon my epistle again!

So I eventually got a positive outcome from EA in what seems like a pyrrhic victory not with the back and forth on my pension statement account. However, I am really miffed again! This assessor must be sent by village people. He chopped off 3yrs of my 10yrs because of same pension statement! embarassed

So I worked at a firm between July 2012 and January 2016.My appointment letter and a reference letter from same organization stating the years I worked were submitted as part of my documents. Also was a lot of payslips covering those years. The firm did not pay my pension between July 2012 and October 2014 but we eventually opened a pension account in October 2014 and they paid all the backlog into the account in January 2015.This is clearly seen in the statement of account as July 2012-October 2014.They also continued remitting subsequent pension payments thereon. Now ,when Leadway gave me a cover letter, they only stipulated when my account was opened with them(January 2015) to when the firm stopped paying in(October 2015).I categorically explained on the portal that the statement contains a lumpsum of backlogs from July 2012 that I started working to October 2014.I also feel the company failed to remit the remaining months I spent with them but then I have a ref letter from same firm showing my start and stop dates!(oyinbo sef no dey use number 6 sometimes sha o)In fact my current work experience which is July 2019-till date with relevant backing documents is stated as July 2019-May 2021!the dud has chopped off another 1 year when I am still currently working embarassed

In the outcome letter, the assessor only started counting my years of experience from January 2015!(actually counted jan 2015-October 2015 for me for a place where I worked between July 2012 nd Jan 2016!!!)he obviously only relied on my pension statement ;so what is the essence of the ref letter embarassed embarassed embarassed

1. Instead of an appeal(for now),can I reach them to complain?

2.do you have an idea how long an appeal takes?

3. can I still claim my 8yrs and above on skill select which I already calculated as 15 points ?since they will still request from me documents to back up my claims or are they relying on EA analysis for my years of experience?

why this annoys/pains me is I have 85 points but with years of experience less than 8,it reduces to 80...I do not have the luxury of age to wait till January to clock 8 years(according to what EA assessed for me) cry embarassed.e b like say na frustrated assessor pick my case

I await your advice based on the above. thanks for your support always

You will need to look at things from the view point of the assessor. Both primary and secondary documents are needed to conclude your assessment process.
My advise is that you get your bank statement and highlight all your salary on it. Also, include some of your payslips referencing those transactions. You could make use of 3 to 4 payslips per year covering different organizations you worked.
Please get a signed copy of your bank statement and not online for this so it can serve as a third party document.
Make a formal request by email for the pension statement to indicate the names of the organization you worked with and then include all your correspondence to the assessor.
You will still need your income tax statement during the visa application process so i will advise you to start working on getting that too.
The process for getting it may not be as cumbersome as you think.

once again thanks for your input .I now have a letter from LEADWAY PENSURE stating all the years and the employers remitting. I will also attach the mail correspondence I shared with the pension company where they categorically said they do not put name of employer on statement an their reason .they then attached an introduction/cover letter

Thanks a whole lot for the last advice...I am already processing my tax receipts for my last 2 employers;the one for my current employer should not be hard

So sorry you haven't had the best experience with EA.
I understand the CO might just be doing their wokr. Usually, document requirements gets updated based on things COs notice on applications.
Truly, your pension fund should have the name of employer on the pension. How is anyone supposed to verify that the company actually pays if it's not written there? I just pulled out my pension statements and they have all the details the CO is requesting.

The letter from your pension company should suffice. Get it stamped with the current date, scan and send back to them.
Do you have tax document? It's usually either pension or tax. So if you have a tax statement, save yourself the stress and attach that.

I just pulled out my pension statements and they have all the details the CO is requesting......really!please what pension coy is that(pardon me if it is not a suitable question to ask;I just want to use it as a case when I get to the pension company for a request for this)

Most of the COs always insist that the name of your company ought to appear in the pension record, bank statements, tax and pay slips. Do you have salary bank statements where the name appeared? if you have it can fly.

thanks for your input...my payslips over the last 10years of work experience I am claiming all have my full name and the name of my employers.they are saying a secondary document should be a pension statement, a tax receipt and another state board document(cant quite get hold of that).of all these, my pension statement is the easiest for me to get.Starting the process to get my tax receipt is a process that I dont think I can make the 21-03-22 deadline that I now have to submit.

The pension company insists the pension statement cannot carry individual company name remitting .I am seeking for a cover letter from them as supporting document.I just feel the CO is overreaching ...you already have all my payslips with item named pension, you have all my employment letters and also ref letters from the companies telling you the period I worked...why this again.I am really tired meeeen!I am hoping this will not end in an appeal.I believe my outcome is ready just the last doc is why he is holding it back....it is just a technical ground and has nothing to do with the quality of my application.as per the bank statement;the CO defines a secondary document as pension account, tax receipt etc)so I am not sure they will take it

hello .please did you submit your pension statement as a secondary document? if so did the CO ask for the statement to include years of employment and employer's name? I am currently in a back and forth with my assessor who insists the pension statement must have these. Leadway pensure said that is not possible...I am trying to get a cover letter/mail from them to state a pension statement format does not include these to further support the pension statement
Travel / Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by soulamanne(m): 4:15pm On Mar 07, 2022
@tunlex01 greetings to the great Aussie oracle! grin cool

I am currently in a back&forth with EA.I am getting assessed as a telecommunications engineer.I made my payment inclusive of a fast track since 22-12-21 though the site already announced that process would only begin on 10-01-22 because of the festive period(fair enough).I got a mail on 27-01-22 that the process had begun but they required a secondary document covering my employment periods of over 10years(they even advised me in that correspondence that there could be an outcome possibility of Telecoms Network Engineer having gone through my CEs and professional engineering summary and wanted a nod for so which I said yes.I submitted my payslips across all these years carrying pension remission on 03-02-22.The CO uploaded the portal again and advised a payslip is not a secondary document and gave me the options as per MSA booklet .I got my pension statement summary covering all these years and uploaded again on 05-02-22.

I was counting days as fast track is supposed to be 20days but after a while I uploaded a complaint on the EA customer service portal on 20-02-22 enquiring why the process was taking long. I got a response from the CO requesting for the same document I had earlier uploaded claiming the first one was not seen .I uploaded it again and put a call through to them. They assured no documents would be required again .A mail also came in on 27-02-22 an outcome would soon be ready.

Again after counting days(40 working days from 10-01-22 and 26working days from 27-01-22 that the first update came) and no outcome,I upload another query. To my chagrin, the CO updated on the portal saying they would not accept my pension statement account because it does not have the names of my employers. This is after explaining on the portal while uploading that the pension company does not segment pension remittance according to employment period and employer name .I even uploaded a supporting document called welcome letter that carries my company name.

1. I have gone to the pension company but they insist that is the usual template anywhere and they cannot generate such with the info.
2. I have mailed their customer service with this request and a possible cover letter;I want them to state they cannot and will attach this as a supporting document....do you think this will fly?
3.have you had any of such experience? my friend used this same document and he never had any issue .he is in Aussie now...how best can I approach this
4. what is the possible worst case scenario ..I am confident my application is good I just dont know why this CO is being impossible; all my documents are verifiable and legit
5. the 2 other options of tax and state board(I dont quite the that doc name) are documents that will require a long time to process and get that is why I am sticking to my pension statement
6.I dont know why I only get request for documents only when I fill a complaint on the portal..I am honestly hoping I can fight for a refund of my fast track payment because it is almost not worth it now without a fault of mine(hoping /praying I get a positive outcome with my 10 years intact)

kindly advise based on above ...apologies it is a long one but na as e dey really pain me..time is running!!!

1. can I apply using telecom network planner role?

2. what is really the definition of closely related occupation? AZSCO code or if the occupation is assessed by same body? please note below from SA site

Occupations with the same Skills Assessing Authority are closely related occupations

nothing on the NSW site speaks to of this opening is for 190 and 491 or 190 alone.
