Pessimism is a major problem with this country. NAIJA CANT DO THIS, NAIJA CANT DO THAT. That is why their quality of Life is below average. They dont believe in themselves, their families and even their own country. How do you expect things to work out well with your persistent pessimism? I CATEGORICALLY TELL YOU THAT THIS NIGERIA IS A COUNTRY THAT WILL RULE beyond your expectation.

You should be used to that by now. For me when I here that I see market for whatever i will want to do that people think is impossible. Did you ever think we could make the quality of some musical videos you now see in Nigeria? Someone must have said the exact thing b4 it was done.

Properties / Re: Why Do Most Nigerians Abroad Remain Tenants When They Are Back Home? by tellmemore(m): 1:44pm On May 18, 2012
There are Nigerians abroad who want to buy houses. If there are honest properties company with available legal clarification that accepts gradual payments the way it is done abroad they will buy. The idea of using relatives or friends leaves a horrible taste in peoples mouth.

Politics / JTF Arrest Yoruba Man Alleged To Be Boko Haram Operational Commander by tellmemore(m): 4:20am On May 12, 2012
Has anyone seen this: A Yoruba man, Suleiman Mohammed, who hails from Ogbomosho, Oyo State, according to the Joint Military Task Force is the operational Commander of the Boko Haram in Kano.

Bokoharam is probably not as northern as people think.
Nairaland / General / Re: Nairaland Or Facebook: Which Is The Best? by tellmemore(m): 1:48pm On May 11, 2012
This is a big comparison because they both serve different purposes. Audience: Facebook has a more global audience than Nairaland, Financially: Facebook has succeeded in placing itself as a powerhouse of revenue in an area even youtube struggled with and I don't think Nairaland has done. The good thing with nairaland is that it has sold local patronage which is a good advantage, what's left is how the administrator can convert that to a solid money earner. The bad thing is that nairaland is slowly becoming a hive for tribal snarling.

I am not really sure what the relevance of the arrest story is to this thread.Though Nowhere does it tell us he is Nigerian unless you know him personally.
If it is of such great interest to you why not create a thread.

The reporter on live tv said he'a Nigerian not me.
There actually is a thread on it.

Igbos certainly have the right to express their views and others have the right to be irritated that is life. I believe irritability is a normal human reaction from which Igbos are not immune. If different people occupy the same space and don't get irritated then something is definitely wrong
I personally am irritated by what I call a VICTIM COMPLEX which I must confess I have only encountered online.
I think you may have a point there, I'm just writing what I have observed the few times I have managed to come on Nairaland. While this is going on here a Nigerian in the US who has been arrested for stealing or attempting to steal a laptop of all things and many more is about to be jailed.

It seems ones it comes to an Igbo issue a good number of non Igbos on Nairaland gets irritated. I thought Igbos too had the same right as every other Nigerian to express his/her thought as an Igbo person on this forum.

It's unfortunate our stories are not being told by Nigerians. It's amazing how little people both in and outside Nigeria know about us. My colleagues (blacks) here in the US never knew we had tarred roads until I showed them where I lived in Lagos using google maps because all they are showed are hungry children in Africa.
I wish there could be plenty more stories like this being told.

Redeemer's University is the best in West Africa in Sciences

Do this schools actually take part in academic competitions of any sort or is it a matter of an over shadowed name of the church. The ranked schools will not sit back and wait to be dethroned. If possible take a visit to one of the schools and see what it takes to even rank a school.

Presently we are getting requests for female clothing.

Business / Re: Arik's Horrible Customer Service by tellmemore(m): 1:59pm On Dec 17, 2010
I was to fly from PH Airforce base to Lagos yesterday 16th. The flight was for 5:05 pm later changed to 7:05pm. I got to the Air force base at 3:30pm and was told by an Arik staff the plane will now fly from PH internetional airport.
On a normal day with PH traffic it could take you 2hrs to go from PH to the international airport.
I asked the Arik staff how I was going to get to the international airport. I was told to complain to the a manager. After wasting my time complaining he said there were no vehicles to take passengers to the international airport.
I found my way to the airport after realizing the "manager" had to idea of customer service.
The plane finally arrived at about 9pm.

I have had similar change of boarding location with Aero but at least they provided a bus with police escort to take passengers from Airforce base to the international airport. Also on a different incident aero refunded my money back to me , even though they did not refund the insurance I never used.

Why should I ever flying arik again?
