Good morning my people, please I need someone in the field of data analysis to show me the way oooo. I have self learned it before and fortunately enough, my former employer enrolled me for a diploma course in data analysis. I have packaged my CV and threw out applications to so many places including the NHS but nothing yet( No interview, No call back). I have targeted entry level roles too but everything I've been getting is unfortunately we are not progressing with your application. I also tried to carry out some research on LinkedIn concerning the data analysis jobs of a thing and I discovered that almost all vacancies that I clicked on often have over 200 applicants, there are some with more than 500 applicants. All these things are making me to have a rethink on my decision to follow this path.

I have tried my hand on cyber security but I later discovered that this area of IT is not for entry level applicants. The feedback I got from some people that I know who studied master degree in cyber security in the UK is also not encouraging because they also find it difficult to secure entry level roles.

Please help a brother.

Maybe you should start applying as IT support or IT Technician first. I don't know the deal about data analyst but what I know is the bad wagon in that career path is much. To enter cybersecurity or any IT field with no experience start from a support role. Also, ensure your CV is matching the job description by proper editing.

It's not an issue to see or use an SLT. My son needed an SLT. He wasn't even speaking clearly at 4. Now I bribe him to stop talking.

What is SLT? Speech Language therapy or what ?

Hi guys, Please what is the best way to prepare for the UK driving theory test. Is there any material, youtube channel, website or application? I have already downloaded the 4 in 1 theory app though and my test is in 2 weeks time

4 in 1 should be enough for you. Study it back to back and you will be fine. All the best

Foreign Affairs / Re: Migration To The UK Hit A 'record' 606,000 In 2022 by Temi231(f): 2:16pm On May 25, 2023
Uk is just shouting up and down. What about asylum from Ukrainian, Afghanistan, and all other countries they took in? Those ones came in without any cost value to the government purse and they used tax payer money to uplift them o. They should keep quiet biko

The UK can tighten its laws in whatever they like but to demonise people using the education route to migrate is a joke. All over the world, people use the education route to migrate especially if they are highly skilled. If the Uk wants to be sincere, they should give us the data of dependents that now have high-skill jobs and it will be shocking what the data will reveal.

The conservatives are desperate to remain in power and I don't have a problem with that but to continue to profile Nigerians deliberately is hypocritical, yes our people are foolish but for the sake of many hardworking Nigerians especially the highly skilled ones, we don't deserve all these insults.

You are right. Nigerians are hardworking but we are loud. When I hear the amount students pays it's shocking and most country can't afford it.
Well, someone mentioned that Nigerians are loud while Indians are smart. Indians bring their families but they do this after settling down Nigeria will come in with seven (7) families member to a strange land for a 1-year program. That's too much.

Thanks....this your moniker always makes me laugh sha.....both will be working, not mediocre sponsor and as an overthinker and as a staunch follower of this thread, at least 3 months has been the plan to prepare even if it goes better than expected, I always hope for the best but expect the worse in situation you can't control, but children are so important and that's why I needed people's input

Only you can do what’s best for you and your family but here is my token
I came along with my family, we spent one month together but they went back. They came back after six month when everything is settled and beautiful. It’s a strange land, even though I came in with everything ready like house and fantastic job but they went back for me to adjust to Uk working style. So you can do whatever works for you depending on your purse.

Hi All, 2 things. I currently moved form one skilled worker visa to another. According to gov.uk, my family don't seem to have to reapply since they still have visa from my previous employer. Some people say they have to re-apply for another visa, others say it doesn't matter. I feel they need not according to my interpretation on gov.uk. But maybe we misunderstood. Can some one advise. Secondly, I can link you to where affordable snails are available if based in coventry.

Your family does not need to switch with you as far as they have enough number of years to go as you are.

else you stop driving with the international DL after one year of your stay in the uk

Hi what’s the process of changing from Nigerian international drivers license to U.K. licence? Will you do through the driving test and theory to get the U.K. own?

You do not change from a Nigeria license to a UK license. The first thing you need to do is to apply for UK provisional driving license
2. Apply for the Uk theory test which you need to pass before you can be ready for the practical driving test
3. Apply for the practical driving test once you pass your theory test.

All these must be done within one year of your arrival in the UK{or else you stop driving with the international DL immediately after your one-year elapse}

Thank you for the correction. I stand corrected. What I intended to say is that the naira goes much further than the pound equivalent but that does not even matter, just saying.

Q: Why do you think many Nigerians are migrating? Nigerians migrate for various reasons. I for example, wanted to learn how to do things the proper way so I can contribute to the growth and development of Nigeria.

Q: What do you think is the annual salary of a manager in a Nigerian company? Since you left it open, my former colleagues who are managers now earn about £52k equivalent which is not too far from what I earn as a manager in the UK.

.

I do not want to reply to this before but I believe some people make their decision depending on what they read online. I will appreciate it if you can quote any company in Nigeria that pays the equivalent of 48 million naira for a Manager in Nigeria. The one I worked for before in Nigeria is one of the highest-paid institutions in Nigeria and I can say with my full chest that a Deputy director does not even earn 52 million or 48 million yearly talk less than 40 million.

Unless you want to run things with paper company or being corrupt that the only way you can make exorbitant money in Nigeria.

Imagine a Jew going on a Jewish forum to tell them to avoid other Jews, or a European doing the same. They'll either ban that person or recommend psychriatic evaluation. Divide and conquer has been the tool used to ensure and people of African heritage never build together or form communities that will benefit them as a group. There's always someone or a group of them going around spreading negativity to ensure that distrust abound. There's a reason why you find Chinatowns or Jewish quarters in many places.

If there are 200 million Nigerians on this earth, until you've had a negative experience when dealing with a hundred and one million of them you have no basis to come on a Nigerian forum to tell Nigerians to stay away from other Nigerians. If that's not insanity then I don't not what else to call it.

God bless you. Like some people that do not want to relate with Nigeria but can still associate with Nairaland. Awon Omo Abi agbalagba ti won gbagbe orisun. ( a child or adult that forgot his origin ). They want to be British more than British.
