Family / Re: What Is Your Earliest Memory? by thecultivateur(m): 12:39pm On Jul 08, 2019
I remember when I was like 3 or 4yrs old, there was this nursery & primary school that I was registered in, owned by foreigners. A day came in which we were taken to a music & dance theater in the school, we the boys were taught how to dance along with our fellow female pupils (sometimes even with our female teachers!) while the pianist was playing the piano for us. It's actually part of the school's system of education. Boy! I felt so shy each time I was ask to dance wit a girl. You know na, childhood innocence. Lol!

Religion / Re: Grace That Is Scary by thecultivateur(m): 8:10pm On Jul 05, 2017
Without the grace of the sovereign Lord, no matter what we do, whether we try to live right or we try to live wrong, we will still be hell-bound creatures because of the sinful nature that resides in each & everyone of us ever since the fall in the garden. But thanks be to God, Jesus came & paid the price that was exclusively meant for us all to pay in hell for all eternity! The price for sinning against a Holy & a Righteous God, by dying & shedding His precious blood on the cross of calvary. That grim sacrifice of the Lord shows how serious God takes subject of transgressing His commandments. It is telling God that He made a mistake of creating you in the first place, that He has no right to tell you how to live your life. It's trying to make Him a liar while trying to prove yourself a truth-sayer, which is evil! It's trying to take what rightfully belongs to Yahweh & make it your own! This is what led to the fall of man from grace. This very ungodly & inhuman ideology that we can live our lives the way we wanted without the Creator's dictates, is what brought sin & death to our world. That is why salvation is entirely dependent on God's will since He made everything out of nothing(I mean, EVERYTHING!), including we humans. That is why man is incapable of saving his own self from his sins since he didn't create himself in the first place. That is why we must never for once in our entirely lives believe that we have all that it takes to succeed on own, without involving Christ. Doing so will nullify the power of the HolySpirit, who is at work in our lives to bring us to perfection on God's own terms. Read the whole of Genesis chpt 1,2,3 & John chpt 1 for you to understand what Grace is trully all about. I rest my case here, people.

Very well said.

I had to part ways with a very good friend, supposed christian, who strongly believed and still believes all christians had to be rich. As it is our inheritance bla bla

We argued back and forth and at a point i chipped in a question ; If she also considered people like Bill gates, Mark zukerberg to be christians.

She said they were christians, because if they weren't they wouldnt be wealthy! smiley

Well that day was the end of our years of being friends.

My dear, this shows that you & your friend are not heading the same path in the road of life even though both of you are professing the same faith. Continue to pray for her so that the Lord will direct her steps to the path of truth again. That is all that you can do for her, not just as a friend but also as a true child of God. Meanwhile I'll continue to encourage you to hold on to that which the Lord has entrusted to you: THE TRUTH. Your whole life & that of the well-being of your family depends on it. May the grace of the Lord be with you.

The bible says "Woe to those who call good evil & evil good, who put light for darkness & darkness for light, who put sweet for bitter & bitter for sweet" Isaiah 5: 20.

That is the sin against the Holy spirit.
Religion / Re: Tell Your Favourite Bible Story by thecultivateur(m): 11:08am On Oct 16, 2016
The story of how King Jesus defeated, disarmed & dethroned Sin (Our first enemy) on the cross ---> (The books of Matthew, mark, Luke & John)

The other story (The future one) depicting King Jesus, with His heavenly army (in His glorious form) finally & forever vanquishing the forces of evil; Satan, his right-hand man "Anti-Christ" & his minions (our last enemy), thereby winning the victory over evil. Revelations 19: 11 - 21, 20: 1 - 15.

Now that is epic.

KoldKash:

Malvis, you've made my day. This is nothing but the Gospel of Peace; The Full Gospel!

No wonder when Jesus informed Peter that Satan has asked for him, that he may sieve him as wheat-Jesus ended that prophecy by saying to Peter,"but I have prayed for you, that your FAITH SHOULD NOT FAIL.which is a revelation to us that Faith is our one and only Connection to God.For had Peter's Faith failed, there wouldn't have been a comeback for him. Jesus' prayer was directed at the most vital subject which is Faith.

May that same Word that preserved Peter's Faith preserve our Faith in Him,and also give Faith to those who have no Faith in Him. In Jesus' name I pray-Amen.

Seriously broda, there's nothing more empowering than being exposed to the full truth.

http://043xclusive.com/olamide-orobo-prod-by-young-jonn/

That's not cool bro, you know the music section don't you? why posting this stuff here or are you still new to nairaland?

To OP: The key to understanding the scriptures is by having the spirit of truth in you which comes directly from God. The spirit of truth is also known as the Holy Spirit. Without that, no matter how hard you try to understand the bible on your own, you can never get that. All you have to do is to humble yourself before the sovereign Lord & pray for such gift from Him. Read this passages very well ---> Luke 11:13; 1 John 4:6, 2 Timothy 3:16.

Religion / Re: What Are Truly The Signs Of A Genuine Christian? by thecultivateur(m): 9:57am On Sep 11, 2016
FrustratedNigga:
A genuine Christian on nairaland will still be praying for this country even in hard times like this.
A true Christian will not bash Buhari nor abuse him nor curse him or blame Jonathan, he will still be wishing him well and praying for God to give him guidiance and the wisdom He gave unto Solomon.
A true Christian will not engage in e-wars and e-fights with other nairalanders.
A true Christian will not bash into Crime news to come and check names so as to ascertain the convict's tribe and then bash him and his tribe.
A true Christian does not know the difference between Igbos, AFONJAHS and NORTHERNERS cos he sees all of them as One.
Lastly a True Christian does not comment on cleavage topics, romance or any lust enticing posts like the vaseline crew members.
Are you a Christian in Nairaland and you're guilty of the aforementioned? If yes then you should check yourself.

God bless you my friend.

Fourwinds:
please tell me d war dat is going on...I have a listening ear

If you truly care to know, then I will tell you (only if you are openminded enough to take in the truth):

As we all know, (except some ignorant ones) our world is made up of both the physical & the spiritual aspect. Whatever happens in the physical world is influenced by the spiritual one. If you don't know, the spiritual controls the physical. The natural world is subservient to the supernatural one(the one we all can't see). That is why any action that takes place in physical realm has already happened in the spirit world. So you see, we are fighting the wrong battle. Each time your fellow human being does something evil, that's b'cos his will & emotions has been influenced by a malevolent evil force from the unseen world, hence using the human subject as a pawn in their evil game of interest. That's why each time you choose to condemn your fellow human being & execute them without the creator's permission, you actually gave the kingdom of darkness the license to go and infect another human soul (it might turn out to be you or somebody else you know!) to repeat that same insidious cycle all over again, thereby collecting more souls to hell including the person that gave them the license to do so(I guess this means all those that supported the condemnation & the execution of their fellow man without true consent of the divine order.) But when an evil-doer who is caught in a crime is given a fair trial by allowing the creator to judge him or her for what they had done, the kingdom of darkness will have lost their right in reclaiming the creator's kingdom by bringing hell on earth and of course, stopping evil & crime from increasing any further just by that simple act of allowing grace to take over & also forgiving the criminal man who wronged you. In this way, you have fought & won the real war. Do not be deceived, broda, this is a battle for our souls that the kingdom of darkness are fighting so hard to acquire. By getting us to murder our fellow human beings (all in the name of serving jungle justice) who committed a crime that they (the evil kingdom) themselves secretly instigated. They are making us to do their dirty work for them(the work of transporting more souls to hell including you that are helping them in achieving such evil goal!) That is why you can never use evil to defeat evil. The only way to successfully stop evil from progressing is by using the one virtue that evil fears a lot & is powerless to: GOOD. So there you go brother, that's the truth & the real answer to your question. Only if you have the right spirit will you be able to understand the above writings that I just take my time to dish out to you, other wise you will never make a real sense out of all the jargons that I posted here.

Like I said earlier, the ignorant ones among us will never accept the truth that is before them.
