[BIOGRAPHY] THE BRIEF HISTORY OF HON. ADASHOS JONATHAN ADASHOS :

Hon Adashos Jonathan was born on 10th October 1968 to the family of Mall Nuhu Agyabiya Adashos the son of Akyagu Adashos of Anmhor clan of jukun wanu tribe. He was born in gidan iko Rimi uku kofar Wukari Ibi district in former wukari division. His mother's name is Madam Tabitha Nuhu Adashos of blessed memory. He is the second born out of nine children brought up in the Christian tradition.



Hon Adashos Jonathan Adashos attended Ekas primary school in 1975 to 1982 in Ibi, government secondary school Ibi 1983 to 1988.He had his ordinary Diploma, Advance Diploma and Post graduate diploma all in public personel management and public administration respectively from 2004 to 2011 from Taraba state Polytechnic, Wukari. He furthered to kwararafa university in 2012-2015 and graduated with Bsc political science second class upper. He did his Msc in government and development studies from Taraba state university in 2019.



Hon Adashos Jonathan Adashos started his working carrier with daily clean janitorial services in 1992 in jos plateau state. Latter joined Bank of the North as clerk in 1993 - 1996.He joined politics in 1999 and was a political aid to senator Bala Adamu who ran for gubernatorial race in 2003 in taraba state. He contested for taraba state house of assembly in Ibi in 2003 and lost. Hon. Adashos became a political son to Hon yakubu Agbaizo the former local government executive chairman of Ibi and served as his adviser and chief of staff from 2007 to 2010.


Hon.Adashos was appointed the caretaker chairman of Ibi local government on 22nd October, 2015 to 2017. Reappoited also as the chairman on 8th march 2017 after a failed and aborted local government elections conspiracy. He was latter appointed as the special adviser to the executive governor of Taraba state; Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku in October 2017 - 2019. When Governor DDI was re-elected in 2019 Hon Adashos Jonathan was re-appointed as his special adviser in March 2020 till date.



Hon Adashos is married to Mrs Christiana Jonathan with seven children.

The mobile phone of a Nigerian 'ganja' also
known as Indian hemp smuggler, has proven
hard for Indian police to unlock.
The Indian police in the city of
Visakhapatnam , who were desirous of knowing
the Nigerian contacts announced last night their
frustration in being unable to unlock his mobile
phone .
The Nigerian who was caught with the ganja
was identified as Charles Chuks was arrested
Saturday night by the City Task Force with 25
kg of dry ganja.
Charles Chuks who is a 40 years man, came to
India about 18 months ago on a business visa
and was living in Hyderabad .
Chuks is the second Nigerian to be arrested for
ganja smuggling in the
city, as identified by the Hindu newspaper.

the arrest : Assistant Commissioner of
Police, (CTF) I . Chittibabu said that
based on credible information about
the illegal transportation of ganja they
conducted a raid close to Government
Eye Hospital and nabbed Chuks , when
he was trying to smuggle 24 kg of dry
ganja worth Rs. 96 , 000 .
Investigation shows that Chuks had
visited Visakhapatnam and some other
parts in Vizag Agency five times in the
past few months and he had smuggled
ganja to Hyderabad , Nagpur, Delhi
and Chennai.
Chuks Charles visited some remote areas in the
Agency and established contacts with local
ganja smugglers to procure the contraband from
them , said Mr. Chittibabu.
The seized hemp also was procured
from the Agency area . “ We are yet to

and we we were not able to unlock the mobile
phone of the
foreigner .
Though we have seized the passport of
the foreigner, we are yet to know
whether it is genuine or fake ,” Mr.
Chittibabu added.
The Chuks has been handed over to
Inspector of Dwaraka police station for
further investigation .

Pastor and Mrs Abaga from Takum Local Government
Area, of Taraba state, Nigeria, a local government

M. I attended Baptist High School, Jos where his
mother purchased basic music notations and later ha
him a 7-key mini piano which launched him into the
music world.
Jude is the eldest among his two brothers, Jesse Jagz
who is also in the Nigerian and African music scene,
and Jason Abaga.
In M.I’s adolescence stage, he would listen to tracks
from Lauryn Hill, Bob Marley, Sarah Machlaclan, Pablo
Neruda, Jay-Z and DMX. His venture into the hip hop
world started with the sampling of musical works from
DMX and Lauryn Hill as early as 1998.
After his stint at Calvin College, Michigan, USA, he

20 Traditional Rulers 5 Governors Set To Attend The Anniversary celebration of the Aku Uka In Wukari. Taraba state.
The streets of Wukari the ancient town of kwararafa kingdom in Taraba state was seen in cluster of both people and vehicle trooping to the Aku Uka's place in preparation for his 40th Anniversary.

Taraba State Governor, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku has challenged women and Youths in the State to be innovative and creative in the new skills they have acquired.
The Taraba State Governor, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku has recently challenged women and Youths in the State to be innovative and creative using the new skills they've acquired.
Governor Darius Ishaku also stated this yesterday at the Jolly Nyame Stadium, in Jalingo, the state capital during the passing out ceremony of the first Batch of the Skills Acquisition Graduands which majorly focuses on Women and Youths Empowerment, a brainchild of the Rescue Agenda of his administration tagged, “the Rescue Watch.”
Governor Darius Ishaku also maintained that not all will have the opportunity to be employed by the State Civil Service, therefore, the need to proactively engage women and Youths into important ventures that will reposition the State and to make Taraba State a force to reckon with in the country in terms of export of locally made goods and to be self employed.
Governor Darius stated that the enthusiasm shown by the graduands during their training had spurred him to as a matter of urgency start the processes of the Second Batch. He further explained that, he will immediately order the Chief of Staff, who is the Coordinator of the programme on what to do.
Governor Darius explained that his vision of a greater tomorrow is gradually becoming reality and that with the dexterity on the part of the graduands, Taraba women and Youths are determined to take Taraba State to the promise land.
The Governor also emphasized that the vision of the Rescue Watch, which is aimed at using the various Communities in the State positively by knowing what they desire most and coming up with programmes that will improve their livelihood is gradually giving Government an insight to what the people of the State desires most.
Further speaking, the Governor emphasized that when he brought in more people on board as Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants, he was heavily criticised, but however, today that action is giving three hundred and thirty-five women and Youths a means of living and survival and also which will eventually metamorphose into training more people across the State to be self empowered.
The Governor however, warned those that would want to sell off the equipment that have been procured for starting up the new business to desist, as the
implementers of the Rescue Watch programme will keep a close observation on them and will continually give him change reports with a view to attracting government support and patronage, also adding that he is confident that, Taraba will be a force to be reckoned with in terms vibrant and upcoming entrepreneurs in the country.
In his speech, the Chief of Staff Government House, Hon. Rebo Usman asserted that the Mission of the present administration in supplying the needs and yearnings of the people of the State is no longer business as usual as it was in the past, stating that all Government programmes are closely being monitored by the Rescue Watch team with a sole aim of reporting objectively to the Governor at all times.
Rebo Usman explained that to ensure its success, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants are grouped into their various Local Government of origin with a sole purpose of keeping closer watch
on activities of Government at different levels. This is also to ensure adequate supervision and monitoring and to report back to the Governor monthly through an interactive session with the aim to identifying each area and its peculiar needs.
To ensure this is functional, the Chief of Staff disclosed that, all the one hundred and sixty-eight wards of the State has an attached person who informs the Rescue Watch team leader on happenings in each ward on a daily basis with a view to stimulating immediate Government response.
He further state that the 335 graduands are the product of the Rescue Mission of his Excellency, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku via the instrumentality of the Rescue Watch team, asserting that the exercise right from concept to its implementation was a process of meticulous planning.
The Chief of Staff stated that, the training was carefully outlined and today it has recorded a huge success with every society having equal representation of two persons from each ward and stated that their trainers were also carefully selected and with a directive that, they will be operating within the stated objectives of the Rescue Mission and each participant was paid ten thousand naira monthly as an upkeep allowance to enable their daily movement.
Rebo Usman who maintained that the project was capital intensive, but however said, some beneficiaries have been grouped, and they will take off as partners in business, particularly, in the fields of welding, wood carving and computer, adding, that, those that require constant use of electricity, generators have been procured for them so that they can start without any form of hindrance.
Earlier, the Commissioner of Cooperative and Poverty Alleviation, Hon. Abba Akawu opened that the 335 persons selected from the 168 wards of the State had been properly trained for the period of three months and they were closely monitored and supervised by his Ministry; the Ministry of Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation.
Abba Akawu stated that, through the Rescue Mission today, the 335 graduands will be able to stand on their own and as well create job and wealth for the State and challenged them to be a good ambassadors of the Rescue Mission of Governor Darius Ishaku.
He further emphasized that the memorandum of understanding MoU was also signed with Bank of Industry all to improve the lives of Tarabans and also make them productive members of the society, adding that, about one hundred and thirty-five people will benefit from the MoU in the State.
The high point of the event was the presentation of working tools to the graduands by the Governor himself and assisted by the State Deputy Governor, the Kpanti Zing, Chief of Mutum – Biyu and the Galadima Muri.
It was earlier preceded with an inspection of facilities which were either constructed, fabricated or produced by the graduands.
The ten professional skills acquired by the graduands included were said to include Hair dressing, tailoring, shoe making, carpentry, wood carving, computer training, soap making, net-weaving, welding and traditional dress weaving of Adire and Lantang.

The 40th Anniversary of Aku Uka Slated for Friday and Saturday
The 40th Anniversary of His Royal Highness, the Aku Uka of Wukari, Dr. Shekarau Angyu Masa Ibi Kuvyon ll.

The Chairman Councils of Chiefs Taraba State and the Chancellor Federal University Dutse is scheduled to hold on Friday the 17th to Saturday the 18th of March, 2017, in the ancient Wukari town in Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba state.

A release signed by the Deputy Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Iliya Bekyu Akweh clearly stated that the ceremony will begin at exactly 9 o’clock in the morning at the Kwararafa University Permanent site along Wukari Jalingo road close to Byepyi.

Contained in the release, is a general warning given by State Government to individuals or groups to avoid any act that is possible of breaching peace during the period of the celebrations.
The release further clearly warned people that would need the services of thugs or hoodlums at the venue of the occasion to desist from any form of violence as any attempt will attract the full wrath of the law.
