Health / Re: Help: How Do I Stop Oily Face Or Control It? (picture) by Youpele52: 5:47pm On Sep 25, 2021
This is how I handled my oily face from being baptized with pimples.

1. Stop using hair cream, especially the oily ones. When you walk under the sun or the place get hot, your hair cream liquify, settles on your scalp and then continue their journey into your face skin.

2. Whenever you’re bathing do not use sponge on your face. Use your hands to wash your face with your soap.

3. Always put powder on your face and have a small one in your pocket. During the day, whenever your face get oily, wipe it with clean handkerchief then apply powder. At night, before going to bed, wash your face with water and soap, then apply a lot of powder on your face until you look like ojuju.

4. If you have a pimple, DON’T burst it and don’t touch it. Apply close up (or any other toothpaste) on it before you sleep. Or just leave it like that.

5. Don’t over wash your face or apply cream or soap that will dry your face. Having some oil on your face skin is healthy for the skin.

6. Eat healthy, reduce your intake of oily food. Especially those fries.

7. Eat fruits

Idamond:

My face is always OILY and it also cause PIMPLES on my face because of that I stop applying cream on my face, and the resultant is causing pimples on my face..

even after taking my bath in less than an hour oil will pop out from my face even if I'm under an air-conditioned...
please how do I stop these.

Education / Nobel Prize For Medicine Awarded by Youpele52: 11:53am On Oct 07, 2019
William Kaelin, Peter Ratcliffe and Gregg Semenza have been awarded the Nobel Prize for Medicine for their discovery of how cells sense and adapt to oxygen availability.

US-born scientists William Kaelin and Gregg Semenza, along with British scientist Peter Ratcliffe, have won this year's Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine for their discoveries of how cells sense and adapt to the availability of oxygen, Sweden's Karolinska Institute announced on Monday.

"The seminal discoveries by this year's Nobel laureates revealed the mechanism for one of life's most essential adaptive processes," the Nobel Assembly said.
Their research, the institute added, "paved the way for promising new strategies to fight anemia, cancer and many other diseases."

In announcing the prize, Thomas Perlmann, the secretary of the Nobel Committee at the Karolinska Institute, said the work by this year's laureates has "greatly expanded our knowledge of how physiological response makes life possible."

Monday's announcement is the 110th time the prize in this category has been awarded since 1901.
Looking ahead
Medicine is the first of the Nobel Prizes awarded each year.
On Tuesday, the prize for physics is awarded, followed by chemistry on Wednesday.
The 2018 and 2019 prizes for literature will be announced on Thursday. For the first time in 70 years, last year's award was postponed as the institution found itself without a quorum to decide the winner.

On Friday, the scene moves to Oslo, Norway, where the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize will be announced.

Climate activist Greta Thunberg has been tipped as a possible winner of this year's peace prize.
The 2019 Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel will be announced on October 14.
The prizes in each category carry a purse of 9 million kroner ($918,00, €813,151) for each full Nobel award, a gold medal and a diploma. The medals will be presented at a ceremony on December 10, the anniversary of Alfred Nobel's death in 1896.

I respect you.
More grease to your elbow.
Onnasucs1:
Every single day I visit the business section here on nairaland, It's either I find the crew who have money but don't have a business idea or I find those with business idea but lack money.

Whatever crew you are, please never start up a business if you're not dogged. That business idea might appear rossy in your brain until you start it up in the real world.

I started up a business barely a month ago and I'm almost loosing my mind. Is it the sleepless nights(sometimes working from 1am-7am) I'm going to talk about or the failed projects or the rude customers or the unnecessary but compulsory expensis or the pressure to give out the best at all times or the uncertainties.?

Hehehe...Because of business, I am now a professional Liar. Lord have mercy!

Now I know why most businesses don't last long. Not everyone is willing to go through the stress.

I now respect Dangote, Otedola, Adenuga, Jim ovia, Tony Elemelu...they are many cool

Your business will break your heart so many times. (I'm heartbroken at the moment) cry

Please if you're not dogged, don't think of starting up a business.

If you have started one, never back down. If it gets tough, you too get tough. In the end, you'll succeed.

I have made up my mind to continue to press on. No going back kiss

My respect goes out to all business people. cool

MathPix Problem is a bit of a cheat app but ideal for engineering students or those anyone else stuggling with a maths problem. This app lets you take a snapshot of a math problem and then it solves it for you.

It can read both handwriting and printed text and then provides you with the solution in front of your very eyes. It has very high reviews with most users absolutely singing its praises.

Of course in the long run, its best to learn for yourself how to solve those pesky equations but every little helps.

FingerCAD is less sophisticated when compared to other CAD programs like AutoCAD 360, but it can be very useful for rough sketching out of ideas on site. It allows you to design things in 3D which gives you a nice rough overview visualisation of the floor space or item whilst on site.

All files can be converted to other formats to allow you to open them later in different programs - which is nice. Its constantly being updated and has great user support.

TurboviewerX is another iOS CAD application. It allows you to pan, zoom and 3D prbit around any CAD, DWG or DXF file.

The application comes with a feature called "always facing text" that allows any annotations to be viewed in any viewing angle - which is a nice touch.

You can also mark-up changes to the plans and share them with your saved contacts. This application, like other CAD options on the list, easily allow you to fiddle around with designs on site or on your stupidly long commute to the office.

Google Drive is one of the best cloud storage systems out there and, what's better, it's completely free ( up to a certain storage size of course). If you want to avoid paying for more storage you can consider opening a few google accounts to take advantage of the extra free storage.

You can store pretty much any file type on there and its cross platform to enable easy transfer of files between you desktop and mobile device and vice versa. If desired you can also create and share documents using googlesheets too.
