There is this scam alert being sent to MTN numbers now,infact I have up to 10 already,it reads thus:

Hon.Dr Leonard Nwagu,
MTN national protocol is celebrating his birthday today .Send this message to 15 people and get N750 recharge card.sms is free.

Once again it is scam,don't waste ur credit cos u won't get anything.

Thanks for alerting us. I got the text a few hours ago and I suspected it was fraud when I was told that the text message was free. MTN Is not a free network.

Though txt message is free,i actually feel for d scam n i felt stupid cos i actually got 2 church late 2day bussy sendin d fuckin scam.

I have been getting a lot of scam messages for quite a while now (Nokia scam, Iphone scam, glo scam). I wonder what our great contry is turning into?

yes i got the message this morning and knew it was scam. I even threatened the person that sent me the message that i will block his line , the guy later called and begin to apologise

Only greedy people can easily be scammed just for #750. I dont need their awfu money

I just laugh at ppl sending such message why 'll MTN be generous like that, the most stingy network. Nigerians too like awuf that's why they easily fall fȍr cheap scam.

The scam is as a result of the weekend free SMS MTN are giving. People looking for ways to exhaust their SMS.

I am surprised people still fall for this kinda scam till this day.

LOL MTN gives nothing free

I had 150 free sms and i have been looking for a way to waste it so i simply sent the so called test messages to 10MTN numbers.

Got sometin similar dis morning bt mine simply said mtn ws rewarding its customers wit N750 cdt & shld send 2 ten numbers free & get mine automatically. Read it & wondered dat such lines were still being used & 2 believe ple still fell 4 it. Haba!!!
