i just came across an excellent tutorial covering this topic. the solution was implemented in vb.net using a microsoft fingerprint reader and an opoen source sdk. anyone interested can check it out at http://www.devx.com/security/Article/31576

I don't have problems with the coding, I have an SDK that works in Java,C# and even VB. I just need the hardware. Does anybody know a place I could get a biometric reader here in Nigeria(preferably Lagos and if you have a fairly used but working one, I'll buy. reply this post please. all the other guys in my class have turned their projects into research theses without any implementation. My case is a bit complex and different because I am not trying to write just a specific application of biometrics but I am also focusing on the use of Biometrics itself for other identification purposes which I don't intend to mention here.

I just need a READer. Will appreciate any help.
