A Brief Background History of
ARONDIZUOGU PROGRESSIVE FRONTIER (APF)
Always Pushing Forward
Written by Nwamazi Michael C. Chukwuka (Eze-Ugochinyerenwata)

In the view and search of Unity and Progress, a noble son of Akunwanta, Arondizuogu, in Ideato North L.G.A of Imo State, Mazi Vincent Akamnonu (Ononikpo Mmadu) a United Kingdom based businessman, came up with the mindset of “Always Pushing Forward” as an acronym to the name “Arondizuogu Progressive Frontier” which all of us today know as ‘APF’.
On that note he began to look for his fellow Change Agents whose mind would work together in bringing this change to reality, after all sets and done a meeting was fixed at Arondizuogu Patriotic Union Hall, No. 36 Azikiwe road Aba on the 16th of October 2016, and the meeting was on how to bring this vision to live. The meeting was attended by able men, women, youths of Arodizuogu numerous to count which includes Mazi Vincent Akamnonu, Ezenwanyi Charity Kanu, Mrs. Linda Osuala, Prince George Kanu, Mazi Chijioke Anyakoha, Mazi Arondizuogu Students of both IMSU, FUTO, MOUAU, ABIA POLY etc and the day was blessed with water symbolising LIFE and eternity by Mazi Vincent Akamnonu thanking God (Chukwu Abiama for the reality of this great vision).
APF Logo was formed and designed by an industrious son of Ndiogbuonyeoma in Arondizuogu Nwamazi Michael C. Chukwuka on the 7th of September 2016 in line with name “Arondizuogu Progressive Frontier (APF)” and acronym “Always Pushing Forward”
On the 18th of same October, a camping and training for Run-way (men and women) kick-started at Eze OchiriOzuo’s house behind Keystone Bank, Opposite Abia State Polytechnic, Aba, Abia State, the trainer Princess Kanu of Ejezie Kingdom did her best in equipping both the ladies and gentle men that participated in the Run-Way program/ Dancing.
On the 20th of October 2016 the journey to APF LAUNCH began, all roads leads to Arondizuogu for the Launching of APF, “despite the obstacles encountered on the way; destiny had already been declared”.
On the 21st of October 2016 the Launch proper took place at National High School Arondizuogu, then the multitude came from North, South, West and Eastern zones of Arondizuogu to grace this Occasion, Prominent men and women attended this Occasion because it is only a good water that drags people to its environment. Mentioned below are the able men and women who attended the Launch, HRH Eze K. N. Kanu (Ikenolueze, Awada Iheme Izuogu), HRH. Eze Mike Nwosu (Eze Ugocha of Akeme) and his entourage, Ezenwanyi Charity Kanu of Ejezie Kingdom, Mrs Linda Osuala of NTA Aba, Mazi B. Onuegbu of Akaeme Umezuruike and other great sons and daughters of Aro-Okigbo on which the Pronouncement of APF was made by HRH Eze K. N. Kanu (Ikenolueze, Awada Iheme Izuogu), calling the OLISA KEREUWA, CHUKWU ABIAMA to guide, Lead, Protect and make this Vision a real Change Agent’s platform.
APF have recorded series of Programs hosted after the Launch which includes Yearly Dance/Thanksgiving Celebration, Every 31st of December thanking Chukwu Abiama on how far He had led us all through the year, Swimming Competition, Dancing Competition, Run-Way programs etc which has made APF the talk of the town in both Arondizuogu, Imo State and Nigeria at large.
After that Launch, APF now have more than 8 functional branches in Nigeria which includes Aba, Umuahia, Owerri, Lagos, Abuja, Uyo, Enugu, Asaba branches etc also have more than 4 branches outside Nigeria. Recently APF had the newest branch in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on the 12th of October 2018,
All these wouldn’t have been possible if Chukwu Abiama the creator of the Universe wasn’t with us and we say a very big THANKS to Him for the ones he had done and for the ones yet to do.
Our profound gratitude goes to the Chairman APF (Mazi Vincent Akamnonu (Ononipko Mmadu) ) whose by his virtue and financial support gave vision reason to live, to All the presidents of various branches, all the members of this great Frontier, Patrons/Matrons, May Eke-kere Uwa continue to bless and keep us to see the better days of this Frontier. Amen.
