hello fellow nairalanders. Please is it possibe to upgrade the RAM size of my laptop from 2GB TO either 4GB or 8GB. My computer slows down when i'm doing 3D drafting with autocad software.
'm using hp 630 320HDD 2GB RAM intel i3.
If it is possible how do i go about it

there is a software that can do the upgrade really but I must tell you that your flash will only increase in name and not in size though your flash will bring out 4Gig memory space but whenever you try to send file more than its normal size it won't accept. I have done this and even have pasted the tutorial on my blog but that is just the fact about it.

Your HP 630 has two slots, 1GB RAM for each slot, making it 2GB. The maximum upgrade it can take is 8GB, so its possible to upgrade to 4GB(2GBx2) or 8GB(4GBx2. I'll advise you take your laptop to a technician if you have no experience doing it yourself. Here is a video to guide you if you choose to do it on your own, it's pretty easy

He mentioned RAM size not flash size. @op its possible depending on the configuration of your system or laptop. As you've been advise, take it to a computer engineer if you don't know much about these computer terms.

ya. its easy. just pop open the RAM SLOT. YOU'LL SEE TWO SLOTS. ONE slot IS OCCUPIED THEN PUT IN THE NEW RAM. THATS IT.
