Pls help!!! I was out of banking job in December 2009 when Sanusi struck. Since then, life has never been the same for me and my family anymore.All my attempts to re-climb to the top again have been abortive as i don't have any powerful connection except God. I have prayed and prayed, nothing yet! I pertook in some major recruitments(like the NNPC's to a stage of interview, all to nothing), I even applied to a skul abroad and was given admission with scholarship award but applied to the embassy with fake a/c statement and was denied visa as i had not person to stand for as a sponsor. life has just turned black to me. Can anyone help and or advise? I have the following credentials:
B.Sc(2:1)
M.Sc(Finance)
5yrs of banking exp
Age: early 30s
Married wt Kids

Bros really feel your pain God 'll surely ease your task but my simple advice is since you are a MSC holder why don't u try academics most especially all this private polytechnics & start as graduate assistance with time u 'll moveup the ladder of success & achievement.

Don't think your own situation is the worst in the world, nooooo, there are so many people who face more difficult challenges around only that everybody is keeping his problem to himself/herself, however, just trust in God and make sure you don't relent in your searching effort. Please don't use any fake document again while trying to apply for jobs or visa like you said in your post, I've also fell victim of this before but has since decided not to try it again as it can even block my prayers from being answered. I know there is alway a shining light after the tunnel, he who laugh last laugh best.

I lost my job too with Ibplc in Jan this year. I have a wife and an 8 week old daughter to take care of. I have been almost everywhere applying for a job but I can't say I have been too lucky.

I have approached my pension managers to access 25% of my funds to begin a restaurant business and access bank has not sent a confirmation till now.

Instead of giving up and leaving your wife and children to face life alone (which for me is the highest form of wickedness that a man can do to his family), you should expand your mind and be ready to do anything to survive until things improve.

Part of your problem is that you have not expanded your mind on what you can do. I have a friend who is a doctor now. He used to brew local gin in his village, then take night bus to Sokoto to sell at the border. This he did for 6 years and today he is a doctor.

Question is, are you ready to stoop low to conquer? Or will your label as an ex-banker hinder you?

My brother never give up your dreams simply because you are not getting job offers,you can't change the past because it makes you who you are today,regret will not contribute anything positive to your progress except its meant to prevent you from making same mistake again.
Many of us have experienced difficult times but our perseverance made us stronger and victorious,I personally had a problem with First Bank,Zenith and FCMB in 2005 and my current where all my millions here deposited was frozen by the order of CBN.
I was left with my savings from where I was paying lawyers,at the end of the day I was left with absolutely nothing and had to start life afresh.

My advice,why you search for white collar jobs you can save little amount and start importation business. That's my little secret,I was importing mobile phones,laptops,digital cameras and was making money. You don't need millions to importation business,all you need is few thousands couple with creativity and determination.
I was shipping 2 - 3 pieces of phones/laptops from the US and was making cool profits till I was able to ship between 5-10 pieces then channel the profits into my other ideas that are equally profitable.
