Dr Umaru Abdul Mutallab
Prominent business leader and former minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, chartered accountant and banker; former Executive Vice Chairman and Managing Director of United Bank for Africa (UBA) – the third largest bank in Nigeria and an affiliate of BNP Paribas. He just retired as Chairman of First Bank of Nigeria Plc, the oldest and biggest bank in Nigeria. He is a holder of one of the highest national awards in Nigeria – Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON).


Alhaji Mu hammed Mustapha Bintube.
Bintube began his career with New Nigerian Development Company (“NDDC”) in 1982 as an Investment Executive and rose to the position of Senior Investment Executive. He moved into core banking in 1989 with Commercial Bank (Credit Lyonnais) Nigeria Limited where he rose to be part of the Management Team. From there he moved to FSB International Bank Plc in 1995 where he rose from the rank of Assistant General Manager to Executive Director and successfully oversaw the growth of various businesses within the bank including: Corporate Banking, Public Sector, Private Banking, Consumer Banking, Financial Institutions and the Energy Sector. He left FSB in June 2004 to take up the new challenge of establishing and driving Nigeria’s first non-interest based financial institution (the proposed Jaiz Bank)

Aliko Dangote.
Business mogul and founder of the Dangote Group of companies, arguably the largest and most diversified indigenous conglomerate in Nigeria. With estimated annual turnover in excess of US$1 billion, the group has significant investments across West Africa in the textiles, food & beverages, agriculture, transport and cement industries. The group has a dominant share in key markets, and has accessed leading technologies by employing companies that are world leaders in various spheres (e.g. Buhler AG, Tate & Lyle, Haver & Buecker and BMH Sivertell). In 2007, the Group commissioned Obajana Cement Plant, a plant with 5MT/annum, one of the largest cement factories in Africa. The project cost US$ 1 billion, of which the International Finance Corporation (IFC) has provided an “A” loan of up to US$75 million. The Group completed the initial public offering (IPO) of Dangote Sugar Refinery and sold 30% equity in the largest sugar refinery in sub-Saharan Africa. Currently, the sugar refinery has a market capitalisation of US$2.8 billion.

Aminu Dantata.
Chairman/CEO of Alhassan Dantata & Sons Limited, a diversified business dynasty with interests in textiles, commodities, trading, transportation, agro-chemicals, finance and oil & gas. A director of over 21 Nigerian businesses, Alhaji Dantata holds two national honours: Officer of the Federal Republic (OFR) and Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON).

Dr Rilwan Lukman.
A mining engineer and a graduate of the prestigious Imperial College, United Kingdom, Dr. Lukman was President of the OPEC Conference for eight (cool consecutive times, and Secretary-General of OPEC between 1995 and 2000. A former minister, he recently retired as Special Adviser to the President on Petroleum Affairs. A Knight of the British Empire (KBE), Dr. Lukman is a holder of honorary doctorate degrees from the Universities of London and Bologna. He is currently the Honorary Adviser to the President of Nigeria on Petroleum.
