Not really, in my view.

Business is all about opportunity. If you have the opportunity to start your own business, go right ahead. With time you would have evolved your own methods and practices, and adapted your business to the ones that work for you.

Many of us who spent years in paid employment have had to adapt a different mindset in business. In paid employments there are rules, the risks aren't yours, and you have the feeling of a safety net. That's why you find that employees are usually high-handed to suppliers, and try to frustrate them.
When you are on the other side it's a different feeling entirely.

Not necessarily, especially in the aspect of managing money, business and employment are two different things.
