Christianity is not a religion of peace either. Go and read your christian history. It's an endless nightmare of genocide and massacres. In fact, that those two religions - christianity and islam - are so big and cut across so many nations today, is directly related to the number of people they slaughtered to spread forcefully, their faith, in the not-too-distant past.

What's happened is that christianity won the economic, technological, and military contest, and thus, is able to operate a control system over Islam that's not dependent on raw street displays of frustration, anger, and thirst for vengeance. Indeed, christianity is now elevated to a point where a single UN resolution backed by a few powerful christian nations - like the US, Germany and France - ''authorizing'' them to invade this or that muslim nation, is all that's required to enforce christian will, and causes a lot more damage - killing millions - while wearing a grossly ill-fitting suit of civilized legitimacy.

The christian protagonists are not bearded mullahs dragging a foreign ambassador's body through the streets screaming praises to their god. Instead, they are suited up diplomats, and manicured, jet-setting Secretaries of State, calmly whispering mass murder to their people and their 'allies' in secluded airconditioned offices.

So please. Spare us the manipulation.
