OFID (The OPEC Fund for International Development) is pleased to announce that qualified applicants who have obtained or are on the verge of completing their undergraduate degree are welcome to apply for the OFID Scholarship 2012/2013. The OFID Scholarship will be awarded to support Professionals/ students or candidates for degree studies. The applicant may be from any developing country, and he/she must first obtain admission to pursue a Degree program(undergraduate) in any recognized university/polytechnic/college in the world. The Scholarship is open to those professionals/students who wish to pursue studies in a relevant field of Development or Energy Studies.

Through its scholarship scheme, OFID aims to help highly motivated, highly-driven individuals overcome one of the biggest challenges to their careers ? the cost of graduate studies. The winners of the OFID Scholarship Award will receive a full scholarship award of up to US$5,600 each. The funds will be spread over a maximum of one year, toward the completion of a B.Tec/B.Sc.. degree, or its equivalent, at an accredited educational institution, starting in the First Semester of the academic year 2012/2013.

Is this scholarship legit? Why are they asking us  pay some amount if it is legit? I thought scholarships are free. I want  apply but I've got second thoughts

Hope this scholarship is real because i had paid 2500 naira since 22nd of october and the application pin to complete the registration had not bin sent to me.The due date for the application to be completed is on the 27th of october.plsss has anyone gotten the confirmation pin

That's bothering me too,i went to the world web and its wz stated dat xams is on 30th and student shd start checkn for their centre frm the 18th. Am also bothered cos i ve an exam dat day in my sch,do you knw of how to reach them or wot i can do ?any1 with answers plz

I also applied for d scholaship and av been able to complete the application but d problem now is dat i am yet to get d venue for d exam.I only know d exam date but not d venue.I know d venue wud b communicated to us very soon

When do u think Nigerian exams is scheduled cos i saw 30th in the world web and also stated that candidates should start checking for exams centres frm 18th....Dont knw wassup now

i too also applied for the scholarship, but i have my exam number and batch number but no center and center number,pls what's wrong with the site also.it looks like we have been scammed

someone told me have been scammed but i dont believe it yet,until this is over, life itself is a risk no matter what happens life goes on.gbam! wink

Guys, i also regstd and received my confrmtn pin bt avnt rcvd my exam details. I copied d nig. Branch offc phone no nd talked to a man who claimed there was a delay in d transportation of the the exam questns nd writing materials sometym ago bt nw, d no is no longer reachable. Am scared. I toiled day and nyt jes to make d payment.

I also applied....here is the number of the Nigerian office- 08162323001. The man was very helpful during the course of my application but the number stopped being reachable about 3 weeks ago...please guys don't hesitate to share any info u have about the exam venue and date smiley
