With all due respect to Islam, the average Nigerian Muslim seems to have an embedded culture of inferiority complex when it comes to the Arabs. Not like they even care about the Nigerian Muslim to begin with... Because if they did, Saudi would be the first to pump in millions of dollars to the north to help it develop. But NO! They don't give a damn!

Government should hands off this HUGE source of political patronage and financial wastage and focus on developing their states. If you cannot afford to go to Jerusalem or Mecca, please go to your church and mosque and pray! After all, even if you like visit Mecca or Jerusalem 1million times, if you are destined for hell, you will end up there!

The term "summon" is actually quite correct. The President, Vice President, or Minister of Foreign affairs can summon the ambassador of any country to lodge a complaint.

My thoughts exactly! The sponsoring of Pilgrimage has become an institution in Nigeria! Why not ensure that the relevant agency is adequately preapared for an end to end organization and airlift of potential pilgrims at these peak period without having to add sponsoring all hajj and jerusalem pilgrims!! Siting Pastor Benny Hinn jJerusalem Pilgrimage tour as an example, this has been privatized and a package deal and intended pilgrims are encouraged to register interest months ahead of time!!! So if any pilgrim needs a package deal, join him, else u can as well book ticket, an accomadtions urself if u'd find any? Please all these avenues left by our fore government to siphon our monies need to be closed! It is a waste!!!!

As far as I'm concerned, there is no diplomatic row between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia. Instead, some Nigerian Muslims are getting a reality check.

Also, the fact that the Nigerian government has any involvement in this Hajj stuff, especially the financial support, is just annoying.
