BBDelta aka Mr. Odafe, obviously something is very fishy about you and your brother. Everyone please beware. Mr. Odafe is told us that he wanted to buy our tiny light, but that he's in warri and he asked his brother who is in Lagos to inspect the car. His brother came down with someone else to inspect the car and called to confirm that he likes the car. Odafe then told us that he'll transfer the money to his brother on monday and his brother will come down to see the car again with it's documents and pay for it.

On monday morning after telling us that he has sent the money to his brother, his brother turned around and started saying that we should bring the car to from Ladipo all the way to him at Lekki with the documents before he can make any payments. Because he is very busy with work and doesnt have ANY Time to come and pay collect the car. He totally refused to make any payment or give an advance before that car is brought to him. He also gave another option that he could also come with the money IN CASH for the car on Saturday and pay for the car.

After alot of pressure and persistence, we accepted to bring the car to him at Lekki this morning. But by 5am, the driver who was supposed to bring the car couldnt make it because he had to go to abuja and we also wanted to carry a police escort because we were worried and suspicious about the their intentions.

So, this morning my brother sent him a message saying that we could not make it to lekki with the car as early as planned and we were trying to bring it later in the day or the next morning...And his brother responded saying that we shouldn't bother bringing the car anymore since we couldnt make it this morning and we should consider the deal cancelled.

My fellow Nairalanders, is this not strange, How can you come and inspect a car and after saying that you want to buy it, you insist that the car be brought to your location without you making any deposits... and then give them the option that you will bring cash to them on a saturday, knowing fully well that they can not deposit the money in the bank until monday. And could be robbed.

Even after seeing the car, he's stating that he needed the car to be brought to him at Lekki, for security reasons, because he is worried that he will be duped. I even offered that my brother can come to meet him at the Bank with the car documents and after he transfers the payment the documents will be sent to him and he can pick the car whenever he is available and he refused.

He insisted that he didnt know anyone else in Lagos, no friend, no relative, no church mate - No one who could help him to stay with the car at our location while he makes payment, since he is worried about being duped.

Finally since they were ready to wait until Saturday to bring cash to us. Why did he cancel the deal because we could not bring the car at exactly the time that he wanted us to deliver it? Was a plan that was suppose to happen that has now been destroyed?

This Odafe himself continues to insists that he has no control over his brother since he is in warri and the money has already been paid to him to collect the car, we should do as his brother says.

Even as we were making plans to make the dangerous risk of taking the unregistered car to Lekki, the odafe is here offering someone else money for their car.

Everything points to a very co-ordinated criminal plan or two broke people who are here on Nairaland to torment car sellers and make a joke out of our business.


This is our experience, it is up to you to decide how to go about working with this Odafe fellow.

I have done my part, they could not do their part, When My Brother call that they would not coming this morning again, I told him I will find others simply. That's when I put up 850 here and later called you to even offer 870 / 880. You where firm at your 900. The only thing was how to now get my brother to go to surulere or where you said you were. Odafe you are quite a disappointment, because I thought you were a reasonable and a God fearing person that was why I chose to sell you out of three other people who wanted to inspect and pay for the car yesterday.

Who are you deceiving, look at the time when you were posting 850k here was last night at 10pm, The timing on the system doesnt lie. If you knew that you didnt want to buy the car anymore, why not say it, instead of allowing us to come down with the car to Lekki and maybe give us a silly excuse why you wouldnt buy it. If the car had been impounded or held by Police or LATSMA or even had an accident it would have been our loss, all with you knowing that you didnt want to buy the car. That is the type of heartlessness that explains why the most Nigerians are suffering and the country is in shambles.

Your brother had already inspected the car, the right thing to do is make payment or an advance and then asked the car to be brought to you. No intelligent tokunbo car seller will carry their car around lagos or anywhere else for a client who has not made any payment.


I think intelligent people will look at this and see who has been wronged. You are not the only one who is doing this, there are many people here on nairaland that are going around and asking people to bring cars or dangerously commit themselves, although the buyer knows that they dont have the money or they are not interested in the car.

If you are a fraction of what you post or the image you project here on nairaland, you wouldnt have behaved in such an terrible way. No God fearing person would do this.
