The Wisconsin International University College is one of the new private universities in Ghana. It is located at Agbogba Junction near Kwabenya in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. It was established in January 2000[1] and is accredited by the National Accreditation Board as a university college certified through the University of Ghana and University of Cape Coast.[2]

Aren't you taught that being honoured a doctorate degree has nothing to do with going to school? You don't even need to have an SSCE or WAEC to get one.

If you want one, you have to be a celebrity, and pay for it as well.

The title of this thread is misleading. When you say "Oge bags a doctorate degree" you will think she studied her butt off like some of us to get it. Instead, she was honored with a doctorate degree just like Dame Patience Jonathan was honored with one too.

Anyways, I checked out the university's website out of curiosity and found out that it is one low life American university like that with absolutely no campuses in the United States. The university has campuses in Brazil, China, Ghana, Nigeria and Ukraine only. The university is approved as a non-profit university by the United States Department of Treasury and is incorporated into the State of Idaho (the potato producing state). It is not an accredited university.

Obtaining a degree from a non-accredited university here in America is like obtaining a blank sheet of paper which no decent employer - whose worth their grain of salt - will recognize. According to the university's website, the university was created just for people in developing countries to give people in such countries access to a university education. Tufiakwa. How dare you compare her paper degree to other degrees where merit and education are REQUIRED. I'll be damned if I receive my Phd or medical degree and be regarded on the same level of Oge Okoye or even Patience Jonathan. I didn't sacrifice years of money, hard work, and suffering for that nonsense.
