Whats the point of being in a relationship with someone you don't trust?

It just doesnt make sense to me why a man should have a security lock on his phone to prevent his wife from having access to the content of the phone(he definitely has something to hide)

Frankly,it's not right for a man to lock his phone(and if he has to for other reasons, his wife should know the unlock code)

Mine doesnt lock his own phone, but if he is d type dt do,i will boldly ask 4 d unlocking code, if i have anything to do with d phone. if then, he refuses, then, i wll know something is fishy.
Sometimes, some of these men dont lock their phones because of their wives, its probably because of outsiders, and also to have some degree of privacy, so its wrong 4 us to conclude dt they lock their phones because of us, u can only say dt after asking 4 d unlocking code, when there is need 4 it, and he refuses to tell u.
Meanwhile, everybody has right 4 his or her privacy, we dont have to be suspicious, it is breach of trust, i, personally dont touch my man's phone unless i run out of credit and i want to use his own phone to call. Let us respect and trust ourselves, why im saying this is dt, some pple are checking their partner's phone because of their suspicion.

Marriage is not just about TRUST but also about RESPECT! Most couples believe that just because they are married, they have to be into every aspect of their spouses lives! Give your spouse their space!

If your husband locks his phone its a sign of respect to you. That means he loves you and doesnt want querel at home. At times u may be too demanding and he does not want you to see his transaction alert. For if he do you may ask of the money he intends using to settle some other pressing issue as man which you may not be aware of.

There is no smoke without a fire. Most of those men, always have something hidden or so secretive about them on their phones. E.g infide....complete the rest.

Ever heard of the software ' vault' and its likes. It hides whatever you need hidden in plain sight, so a man not using security code dosent give him a clean bill.
moreover other reasons exist why a man could use security code other than just hiding pornographic pics

This reminds me of last year when my cousins husband died and they wanted to retrieve informations from his phone, they couldn't cos she does no the password and she had to be calling his bes friends to ask, this was a 32year old guy.
My husband does not lock his phone, but if he does I will want to know, not tamper with his privacy, but becos he knows mine and we are one....

He can always delete his bank transaction alerts instead of locking his phone, I think the former is quite preferable to the latter. That way your wife won't show any form of cautious distrust or mistrust to you or about anything.

Naturally, noone should have access to your Mobile phones except you. It is personal because most people do their businesses through phones these days and wouldnt want others to see their transactions. If your wife demands your code give it to her and she would return it after making her calls. That shouldnt be something we should worry about. Cheers

There is nothing wrong having security codes in your phone. I lock mine, he locks his but we both have the passwords. Phones can be misplaced or stolen, accessed by third parties etc. but you gat to protect some vital info.

Phone lock-

Anti-theft
Data protection
Maintain control over phone if misplaced.

"Husbands that don't lock their phones are either not security conscious or have no valuable activity running through their smartphones"

If you need the code, ask politely and you will get it. Better still, both of you can lock your phones with the same password. So no long thing.

I don't think locking of phones is a wise act.
Delete your private info or transfer them to a safe place.

A locked phone may be the difference between life and death in an emergency or an accident.

My phone is locked due to company policy but my partner has the unlock code and that is how it should be in a real situation. where the man locks his phone then something is not right.

Thank you. Lecture them. Let them continue locking away their sins and tresspasses from their partners.

I can inform you there is an 80% likelihood that a partner who locks his/her phone without informing you has an alterior motive and by thesame percentage may not like to divulge his/her passcodes.

it could be to prevent the kids dialling out unnecessary from his mobile phone, just to lock the keypad! There could genuine reasons for locking the handset, trustworthy couples shouldn't bother with this in my opinion
Re: Husbands With Security Locks On Their Phones by dominique(f): 7:54am On Oct 31, 2012
Nothing wrong with locking your phone as long as your partner or A trusted family member knows the combination to open it.
Re: Husbands With Security Locks On Their Phones by Nobody: 7:56am On Oct 31, 2012
Obviously some of you here don't have bank data, push emails, sensitive photos , trade activities or business info on your phones.

A locked phone doesn't stop your phone from ringing so you can still be reached in emergency situations.

If you don't trust a man then that's it. You don't need to justify the lack of trust by making a sweeping statement that basically says :

"All men that that lock their phones are cheats or cheating .....or coward (as one brave one put it)"

Nothing wrong with locking his phone but important for the wife to know the unlock code.
If the man refuses to give his wife the unlock code then the chances that the man is having extra marital affair is 80%.

To think a man locks his phone because of he reasons stated previously is childish. If you can detect a man is playing games by going through his phone then he is not cautious or smart enough.
Re: Husbands With Security Locks On Their Phones by PupetMasta(m): 8:08am On Oct 31, 2012
Am not married but I don't think for some people there is an elaborate reason for that.

In my office the reason why phones are always locked at intervals is because of the security measures the IT office pushes down to anybody that uses his mobile phone (personal or official) to access his/her official email. You are also advised not to share the password of your phone with anybody, if you do and it is found out, you could be disciplined (depending on your position and how critical your work is), at least that is what the IT policy says
