As a professional supplier and maker of graduation gowns and accessories for all classes of schools e.g Nursery& primary High Schools Colleges and all tertiary institutions for over one and a halve decade i am just amazed at the confusion caused by many schools in trying to find an identity.
The use of caps and capes or hoods signifies a level of academic achievements, the bachelors gowns has its own identity while the doctoral gowns has its own unique features, there are ceremonial gowns to honour certain dignitaries etc etc.
The abuse now comes when you see a graduate of three months bible course putting on a bachelors or a doctoral gown leaves much to be desired, a Nursery school child who puts on a hood while graduating to primary school is totally a persona-non gratia. The putting on of caps during matriculation is misrepresenting, you put on caps when you've gotten something upstairs.
For all your graduation gown & academic scrolls needs contact me at my website;http://www.graduationgownsventures.gnbo.com.ng/ or you may quickly phone 08058584502, 08028370836
