We need to develop and expand within our context.

And you are not spamming any thread. Its all part of the discussion. If more people knew how to comprehend theories and policies, politicians won't be playing mind games with us.

Okay. I am actually in agreement with what he wrote. Societies develop through a mixture of foreign and home grown policies that fit them which explains why the IMF and World Bank policies have failed in places like Nigeria. If you check through the transcripts and the videos of the debates; Africa wasn't mentioned at all which tells you how we are viewed by the Americans (both Republican & Democrat). We are still seen as a market economy; a means of stimulating growth and job opportunities for their own citizens.

Let us take a simple example. Why does the majority in the Latino community vote democrat? I heard one analyst on CNN saying it is because the democrats have reached out to them. Funny answer i think but true. How have they reached out to them is the next big question? In life, everyone, especially the masses, will lean towards that which provides the most advantage and benefit. For the average Latino, his basic need is unchecked immigration and fast track to citizenship. He would gladly support who ever offers that. Now the big question is, what is the medium and long term effect of unchecked immigration and open citizenship to America as a nation? One word! Disaster! Major disaster!

But the democratic party is giving false hope to America that it the right path to take. Already, states like California are in financial crisis and are barely getting by with around 10million Latinos on government aid. That is one big crisis waiting to happen. I raised this issue to a friend and his response was that, I was talking like the red necks and racists. I just shook my head. He is burying his head in the sand and living on false hope. There is no deceiving the laws of nature. When the time comes, she will demand and receive her just payment.

America is a ticking time bomb

Most Nigerians have no clue about Nigeria's problems. but how would they, when they understand nothing about socio inter relationships. Nigerias biggest need is Education and I dont mean just schools. I mean a kind of socio reengineering based around the positives of our indigenious cultures. Top of that is our family values. Unfortunately, our core family values are eroding as fast as you find in western cultures especially with Nigerians who have travelled out to live for years

Good explanation. Only that you did not expatiate how the swing states' votes count up to know winner. Like when you said winning Florida determines going forward, you did not state the reason why Florida is important amongst the nine swing states.

Overall, I can see that it means individual citizen's vote in the States is not weighing same thing but rather electoral vote is what counts. When you talked about blue and red states, are you saying the residents of those states are usually populated by partisan people or it is still electoral votes that makes a blue or red party to win at all times there?

Too late now
WAEC has already released the result

It depends on what the constitution of the country says. For most countries, if he can prove to be a citizen of the country, then he's qualified. But mind you some countries don't allow their political office holders to possess dual citizenship.

lol as if whites are not on welfare. By total figures whites are the most on welfare.

The poverty rate and unemployment is higher in African americans and that is why the welfare number is higher in percentages in the AA community

THAT IS NOT TRUE!

LOS ANGELES — With their expectations soaring, young illegal immigrants across the country are preparing to apply for a temporary reprieve from deportation that the Obama administration is offering. For the first time, as many as 1.7 million of them could be allowed to work legally and live openly in this country without fear of being expelled.

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/08/14/us/young-immigrants-poised-for-deportation-deferral-program.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0

Mexican federal and state government assistance

The US Department of Homeland Security and some advocacy groups have criticized a program of the government of the state of Yucatan and that of a federal Mexican agency directed to Mexicans migrating to and residing in the United States. They claim that the assistance includes advice on how to get across the U.S. border illegally, where to find healthcare, enroll their children in public schools, and send money to Mexico. The Mexican federal government also issues identity cards to Mexicans living outside of Mexico.[31][32]

George J. Borjas, an economist at Harvard University, has argued that illegal immigration may reduce the economic status of U.S. poor while benefiting middle class individuals and wealthier Americans.[92][verification needed] The presence of illegal immigrants and the exploitation of them may drive down wages for certain sectors of the American populace, further widening the socioeconomic gulf between rich and poor.[93] Professor emeritus Stephen J. Unger from the University of Columbia, explains that this results from employers who hire illegal immigrants that are exploited or willing to work for lower wages, instead of raising wages to attract legal citizens. Thusly, wages are kept flat or depressed and the employment rates for legal U.S. citizens decrease at the same time.[94]

Research by Borjas, Jeffrey Grogger, and Gordon H. Hanson suggests that a 10-percent immigrant-induced increase in the supply of a particular skill group reduced the black wage by 4.0 percent, lowered the employment rate of black men by 3.5 percentage points, and increased the incarceration rate of blacks by almost one percent.[95]

California has the largest immigrant population in the US, and immigrants are under represented among California prison inmates.[108] The most recent research indicates approximately 35% of the California population consists of immigrants, while immigrants represent 17% of the prison population. This implies that immigrants are about half as likely to become involved in crime, although deporting illegal immigrants soon after incarceration lowers the immigrant prison population.

Mohamed Atta and two of his co-conspirators had expired visas when they executed the September 11 attacks. All of the attackers had U.S. government issued documents and two of them were erroneously granted visa extensions after their deaths.[140] The National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States found that the government inadequately tracked those with expired tourist or student visas.
