Not again Ify. I didn't select the participants. They were nominated and they volunteered to take up the challenge.

I av been screaming that people on the nomination list should please take up the challenge. Only those 3 responded so far.

As per Mr.Rudy, I will contact him. Since he is still a new member, let him stick around some more. He will probably come up next season.

chaircover: I may be wrong but it could the low take up of volunteers is because people dont really know what is expected of them as well as time constraints.

How about reducing the season length to say 2 weeks and then let the "by stander volunteers" get a feel for what they need to do and you may just find that you will get more people coming forward

6 weeks is also a long time commitment especially with Christmas coming up . . . my thoughts sha

We can have breaks in-between or limit it to a month and resume in Jan. Those interested should mail me for details or ask questions here. That's what the others did.

agiboma: Well here is my two cents: I think the "reality show" is a good idea if it indeed depicts the true "reality " of marriages today and not the ideal or pre concived notion of one individual perception of marriage i.e the OP. So here we go with a "so called reality show" but its not a reality show because the cast is selected by the OP who already has her opinion set in stone of what a marriage truely should be. When here "reality" of marriage may not be the same as another person's reality of marriage.
This show can only work if the following is in placed, so far the concept is totally skewed and is rally a figment of the OP's imagination, the concept itself lacks dept. The bottom line is if you want to reach the audience on NL, you should try to incorporate the following:

1.) Include many participants @ least 5 married couples depicting their live, like most reality shows their are usually 5+ people they are following.
2.) These people should be all sorts of charecters, with different personalities, i.e people with open marriages, long distance relationships, etc.
3.) Married couples who are newleweds, long term marriages etc.

The concept of "a couple with a good marriage" and a "bad marriage" is so old and 1920's variety need to be put in place to make the concept a little more exciting. Also if possible you can be non bias and actually moderate the thread that would be a welcomed gesture!

Hi Agiboma, been a while gurlie, well haven't been around too. How's it going? nearly getting there huh, congrats once again. As you can see, its a free for all session, so anyone can nominate whomever they feel would have an interesting story to tell.

For example Naijababe and Siena were put forward by the OP, whilst Jarus was put forward by Odunnu, and they indicated their readiness for the show hence reason these 3 are the first going through. So its a open session thingy
