Planning on learning web development? Here is what you need to know.
To keep it very simple :

There are mainly two types of languages in web development :

1. Client Server Scripting -
Go as follows -
HTML
CSS
JavaScript

2. Server Side Scripting
Go as follows -
WAMP Stack (Apache,Mysql,PHP) -for windows
Similary there are lamp stack for linux.XAMP for All platforms

3.Advance Level
Go as Folows -
Jquery
AJAX

You will be pretty comfortable in developing websites after learning this stuff .You can try this link if one is absolute beginner :
