Sleekfingers:Not funny. Stop stealing images online! Really, there's no need to stress about proving anything on this thread! Just relax, be yourself, and if you've got nothing to post, just chill and observe. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy! |

Sleekfingers: What is amala if not the process by which it is made. Why do you think we have Amala Lafun? Perhaps, you should go to the local market and ask. Perhaps, if you can convince the iya olojas, then you can come back to convince me too. Regards. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Sleekfingers: Amala is made from elubo which is the product of dried peeled yam. Besides elubo, amala can be made from other products. Plantain can be dried and a powder of same can be made which then can be used to make amala. 3 Likes |

GboyegaD: And does that make it Amala? ....Amala is simply Amala . The ones make from peel yam. .anybody calling Lafun or plantain flour Amala don't know what he or she is saying....... Do you know what they call Pupuru? |
Re: Cook In Your Kitchen, Take Pictures And Post It Here. SIMPLE! by GboyegaD(m): 12:46am On Sep 12 |
Sleekfingers: Pupuru is made from cassava and yes, I know Pupuru. Our tenant and a next door neighbor growing up are from Ikale. So Pupuru is a staple around the house particularly, when they host their meetings with Marugbo (not too sure if this is how it is spelt). One interesting thing is when they start to sing in the evening into the night, it was always fun. Unfortunately, not too many meetings were hosted by them but the few ones were memorable. 2 Likes |

GboyegaD: That's great. You know it. Yes, the Soup is called Marugbo , it is Ondo state version of Black soup . I believe you know Lafun is also made from Cassava flour . Which is popular among the Egba people. You will never hear them call Lafun Amala funfun. They simply call it Lafun. Which is the name. So I find it ridiculous when people call it Amala funfun . |

Sleekfingers: I think it all depends. Don't let us derail the thread. Are Lafun back in the days as a boarder schooling in Ogun State. It isn't so much of a pleasant experience perhaps, hostel food wasn't overall. 4 Likes |

cococandy: Coco, is there a special recipe for brown chicken ? How did you do this ? I like it. |
Re: Cook In Your Kitchen, Take Pictures And Post It Here. SIMPLE! by cococandy(f): 10:28am On Sep 13 |
doggedfighter: I used this browning sauce pictured below. I added purple cabbage to mine hence the darker color But prior to adding it, I just seasoned my chicken as usual (season to your taste). The rice and peas were cooked in coconut milk and a bit of salt. Then I served it with the sauces from the chicken and cabbage.
