Report reaching me has it that NEWREST ASL(airline services and logistics plc) shall be delisted from the exchange !!
...the board of directors apparently wants to play the way of Continental Reinsurance and buy out the minority shareholders.

However, It's important to 1st find out what price they are proposing to effect the buy out before taking any investment decision.
The company is grossly UNDERVALUED so its very likely that they will want to pay a premium to current market price !! ...pay higher than the current market price.
Using a mix of valuation model, NEWREST ASLs FV should estimate at N11.50 !!

DISCLOSURE: I hold some units of NEWREST ASL in my investment portfolio.

Okay I remembered. The thing is, it's risky to recommend stocks around this time.
Those that will recommend will base their recommendation on TA/FA and what he was looking for is a quick 20% gain for Xmas period.
I will advice that he should look for good ones around their year low and invest in them for the short period.
I would say, Oando is resisting further shedding of price now, if he doesn't mind
Another one is transcorp if he can get around 1.15 or thereabout. Honeywell but that already took off too, except he wants to try his luck.
Nem took off already. Neimeth is planning bonus shares for shareholders, Aiico becoming attractive if gotten at btw 59-64kobo, PZ around 9.50-10.50, fcmb there are few others too.
Think say I don try. Pls do your DD.... na gut feelings I take mention these ones o. No mention my name if it goes south cos I no be herdmen wey dey drive cows --- In my classmate's voice. Lol. grin
Don't forget bonanza period is approaching too, in oga Chibu's voice. grin

@ one gentle guy.... The future of banking lies in the power of technology... Not acquiring more branches. I can beat my chest on dz, in another 25 to 30 yrs time, more bank branches would be closed. Who knows when CBN is going to introduced digital banking, NUBAN portability, mobile banking (telecom companies are pressuring CBN to grant them licenses)
Like you mentioned, the best bet would have been for access to continue growing in the track of Zenith, GTB and builds her brand.
What banks need now is heavy investment in technology, fewer branches and futuristic service delivery
this is absolutely true I work in a bank and we have not opened a single branch in the last 2 years rather growing our digital channel footprint.

This question is meant for my ogas on top but before they come make I try as front row student, lol.
- It depends on you as an individual and how deep your pocket is
- It depends on your investment pattern and plan
- 3-5 or 5-10 fundamentally and technically sound coys to invest in -again remember it depends on point one.
- Not putting all eggs in one basket is equally important.
- Monitoring of those stocks/company performance is of importance
-
Chai! You go wait for my ogas for this one, I never update my note undecidedtongue
3-5?
5-10?

Oga, just say your bank is a troubled bank or it doesn't have money for expansion. How can you be a bank with zero budget for branch expansion in Nigeria?

Bank of America is to open 500 new branches in the next 4 years, JPMorgan is opening 400 over the next 5 years, and you guys are mocking Access for this landmark deal. AIG had his mind on this, and he would do anything not to fail.

The comment you are alluding to, so because technology will take over banking in 20 to 30 years we should not grow our network? I just wonder why anyone would even doubt the value Access is going to get from this, all this value erosion is because ya all are just looking at it from the point that you chose to.

How can buying a company with a SHF of 222bn, deposits of over 1trillion naira and a monthly revenue of about 15bn for 75.5bn be a bad buy?

for members of the house in Diamond, I am happy it turned out this way. However, stay glued to your system and never be carried away. The stock market could be unpredictable atimes. If I were you, I will be watching the stock "eyeball to eyeball" to know when to press the sell button. Those that struck that deal with Access know more than you and I. Good luck.

DD applies please. Just my opinion.

Gurus, is CCNN a good stock @ the current price?
CCNN is one of the performing companies in the Nigeria bourse. The company is enjoying financial and management turn around..... .
The support this company is enjoying in North west Nigeria is a reflection of the love of hausa fulani that if they cannot support their own, no one will do it for them. Most of their elites and Middle income earners patronage the products of CCNN as if there are no other cement companies in Nigeria.
The revenue from cash flow is doubling yearly
Cash flow is good
Debt to assets ratio is commendable
Liability is equally low
One year return is 97%+...NO INVESTMENT IN THE WHOLE NSE ACHIEVED DZ IN 2018... U CAN QUOTE ME... DZ IS THE BEST COMPANY IN 2018
With the way this company is growing they may one day acquire WAPCO with the support of the powerful hausa fulani
My verdict..... A good gambling for traders and investors.
The earlier gamblers on CCNN are still reaping their rewards in dividends and capital appreciation.
Good to invest discretionary funds, bonuses from salary, dividends earn from other stocks in dz company.... The company will notch sub 30 once there is positive outlook in the Nigeria n global economy

how low can Access drop to ? tongue tongue
Wigwe has made one of the worst gambling of his investment career.... Quote me anywhere
Though, he is not the looser, The loosers are the
Minority common shareholders, the cash cows of NSE
There is no way access will not reach sub 5 by 1st quarter 2019.
This alone will be determined by market forces.
Wigwe has given his inheritance to the prodigal son in an attempt to create the biggest empire in Africa.
He has brainwashed investors on all the positive aspects of the deal without mentioning a single disadvantage of the deal.
He thought having many branches and customers will translate into mega profitability.
Access as a brand is not acceptable to the middle class in Nigeria.
Most people complain about the fleecing attitude of the brand. 1 out 20 of access customers complain about the fleecing of their accounts,
In the name of SMS ALERT charges, branch charges, atm withdrawal charges,.. Listless unconventional means of fleecing customers.... And dz is the reason the bank customers base has not been growing compared with other banks in her category.
The winner of this unholy and dubious alliance will be fidelity bank if they know how to play the card.... Without under-forecasting I can see 25% of regular depositors of diamond moving to fidelity coz of their appetite for SMEs
Another 50% will find themselves in other banks.
AT the end of 3 financial years.. Access will struggle to retain the 25%
Come to think about it... What is the contribution of Access bank to SMEs in the Nigeria economy... Wigwe will rather give his money to the oil baron.. To me, he operates access more like an investment bank. Despite the problem of mismanagement that destroyed diamond bank, their customers always say good things about them, they have the mix of products that target grassroot clients and ideally, it shouldn't have taken them another 5 yrs to surpass one of the big five.
Many people are not aware that the more depositors you have, the more money you are permitted to print by CBN.. Say for instance, a depositor deposited N5... then you are allowed to print N500 and borrow to others... This is just a simple arithmetic on how bank make profits..
It is left for Mr. Wigwe.. The man who neva say no to any investment opportunity.
It makes no bizness sense given 2 units of access bank to acquire 7 units of diamond bank. The mathematics is unworkable and unprofitable. It defies all polynomials and calculus. The integer could not be factor in at the rate, if a polynomial is a well behaved equation, then Wigwe must tell us how a bank that was trading at SubN1 with book value of Sub N4 will get 3.5/share +1 or 7 units for 2 units of access that is trading at sub N8. With book value of sub N16. It means access bank was overvalued since August 2017....it means the book value of access bank is actually N4... While the market value is N2. 5.
The logical thing is for investors not to be optimistic.... Dump the access now.... Accept your losses.... And move on.
Wigwe is toying with your financial future
A bad deal is no deal
This is same way Theresa May is forcing her selfish interest on the people of Great Britain.. At the court of public opinion (at the house of common) it was stated in Capital letter... A bad deal is no deal
Same thing Wigwe has done for access shareholders.
The price must be paid.... Whatever you sew you shall reap... Great Britain that has forced many union together in the history of mankind is now seeking divorce from her European marriage that was consummated in 1973....The result is disunited kingdom.... You cannot use the Economy of Europe to develop your country and decide to dump us... Price must be paid.
With reference to Access bank... The price of access marriage to diamond bank must be paid by the investors... The minority shareholders coz we invest our labour and sweat... Why the portfolio investors invested counterfeit money... Hence we are the loosers
We invested our heavily taxed salaries in access and diamond... One was moribund and comatose until a good Samaritan in the person of Wigwe decided to revive the ailing bank with his loot from investors , he never remembered the story of the ten virgins... that reasoned, the oil might not be enough if it should be shared at the point in time, rather he concentrated on the concept of give to others and it shall be returned unto you...
The investment world is a different place and Wigwe has not given to diamond coz of love, rather he is giving coz of selfish interest and greediness.
Enjoy my epistle.... Happy Xmas in advance
