I am not looking for a job anymore. I must say that jobler.me is growing too. with over 8000 uniques everyday.

About the techy stuff, the crawlers are all written in python and a bit of perl(for regex and string manipulation). The ui is codeigniter(php) while the main search is written in c++ alone everything was done from the ground up.

i later used a library from google code when i hit a brickwall as to figuring out the most important part of a webpage. It is hosted here code.google.com/p/boilerpipe/. it doesnt hit 100% sha. the whole jobler thing is still a work in progress.

Currently, the spiders threads run on 2 vps while the search engine itself is hosted on a dedicated box. I currently use almost 70% of my salary to pay for them

Hmm!! That was enlightening! I just got interested in crawlers. Thanks for the listing of techs above. i'll get right into researching them.
