What is your take on both?
The Magnisky law was signed into law 14th December, 2012 by American President, Barrack Obama. It's a law with the main intention to prohibit Russian officials that were thought to be responsible for the death of Russian attorney Sergei Magnitsky by prohibiting their entrance to the United States and use of their banking system.
While Dima Yokovlev law which has been passed by the Duma, Russian Upper House, 140-0 vote. Dima Yokoklev is an adopted who died at the of 3 after her adopted American father left in a car and she was killed by the heat from the car stroke.It's a law which prohibits foreigners that violated against the (human) rights of Russian citizens, that they will be denied entry to Russian. The law also prohibits Americans to adopt Russian children.


What is your take?

To me the Dima Yokovlev law has a higher disadvantage to the Magnitsky Bill. Restrictions on adoption will really affect the Russians.
