Johntosyne: helo, dnt rely totally on maybe ui is going to use either 50:50 or 60:40 cos nobody knows d ratio dey are going to use this year cos no one even knws d ratio dey use last yr, all dey knw was dat they use both jamb nd o'level for those who submit both nd jamb for those who submit utme alone. I even read some pple's post advicing others nt to fill in thier o'level result cos they want ui to shortlist them based on jamb alone, bt am going to also advice u to fill in ur o'level cos if u dnt u myt nt be shortlisted cos ui only shortlisted lesser number of pple frm those who didnt submit their o'level during last yr admission. What i fink personally that ui might be using this year myt even be jamb mainly cos the figures were written in jambstyle

well, I'm an aspirant. Last year, I applied for Health Education and got 214 in Jamb which was very far from ELD(240), and was shortlisted for post jamb. i wrote the post jamb and got 47, but unfortunately the cut off for my course was set at 50 which was also the general merit cut off. Once you got 50 you are in already, except if the cut off is determined by the number of candidates who obtain higher marks. But all the same, once you obtain 50 you are in but may be asked to change your course(s). What state are you from, you may want to ask: I'm from Ogun state(UI locality). Hope it helps

the general(merit) cut off is 50, but due to the high number of students that will obtain higher marks your course may require above that(fact)-i.e. Law, Medicine, English/Literature, political science etc. The paper consists of 100 questions, 25 questions from each of your Jamb subjects...
