STUPIDITY IN TODAYS SOCIETY


Stupidity has ceased to be the major threat it was once feared to be. We can breathe easier now because all we have to worry about is the quality of air and not the quality of the brains around us.
Not very long ago, stupid people were free to intermingle with normal people. They had no identifying features to distinguish them from others. This made it very risky dealing with anyone. You just couldn't tell if the other person was stupid or not.
Thanks to universal education we have brought stupidity down to manageable levels. The few stupid people remaining have to carry identification, so there is no risk of getting involved in any intelligent conversation only to find out later that you were talking to a stupid person.
This should serve to show that, contrary to general belief, stupid people are quite capable of carrying on an intelligent conversation with others. This must surely be the case, otherwise how can you explain the fact that we can't tell that the person we're talking to is stupid? The alternate explanation would be that we ourselves are stupid. But we know that's not the case. Hence, it is a fact that stupid people can carry on an intelligent conversation.
Another problem which took a lot of effort to overcome was that stupid people were going to the same schools and colleges as the others, that is, the normal, that is to say, us. Imagine all those stupid people graduating with excellent grades, graduating from the best universities, and being employed in the best positions. Stupid people! In positions of responsibility! Some of them even made it into politics and got elected.
It is really not the fault of the voters that stupid people actually got elected to political office. How is anyone to know if the person they're voting for is stupid? How can you possibly identify a stupid person? I have to admit, I have also voted for people who later proved to be stupid. It got to a point that I stopped voting altogether. I've only recently begun voting again, after I was assured that no stupid people are allowed to run for office.
The fact that stupid people aren't allowed admission into regular colleges and universities makes it easier on the regular students. Not only is there no risk of having social contact with stupid people, it is also easier now to get better grades without the competition from stupid people.
This is something scientists are still puzzling over, and are conducting all sorts of tests to try and figure out how stupid people could get the best grades. It's strange but true. Stupid people have a knack of attaining the top grades in their studies. It appears that they hire special tutors to train them to pass exams. You must understand this phenomenon if you hope to do well at college.
The way they go about training to pass exams is the same procedure they use to pass their driving tests. Normal people learn how to drive well and safely. Stupid people go over and over the course where the tests are conducted, till they can drive the course with their eyes shut. It has been found that more stupid people pass driving tests than normal people due to this method of training.
So the same technique is applied to the training to pass exams at college. They learn techniques of answering questions, timing themselves per question, applying probability to selecting answers, and so on. Some of the techniques are only taught to stupid people so as to increase the odds in their favor.
However, all that is in the past. We can stop worrying about competing with stupid people, and go back to simply trying to learn for the sake of learning. We can now apply for jobs which are now barred to stupid people. Government is now run by people who've been declared not-stupid. There are no more stupid drivers on the roads.
Best of all is the fact that you can now get married without facing the risk of finding out later that you married a stupid person. There are less chances now of having stupid children. It is a fact that stupid children were born to a normal parent because they got their stupidity from the other parent.
