My guy, they both belong to the same family, i am a computer scientist and where i finished from, they were all in one department. i mean the three courses. i think its like that in most schools too, even abroad. Anyway, choose the one your mind chooses, good luck.

They are the same thing. The difference is not much. Statistics students take more stats and probability courses than Mathematics students while mathematics students take more pure maths courses than statistics students. Most Mathematicians still work as Statisticians and vice versa.

Go for any one of the two; both courses are very good.

you can as well go for a Bsc in Computer science.

im and i know we share the same department and even do similar cources at the lower level.
only that we somehow seperated with them when we got to a higher level

It depends on what you want to do later in life. I did Maths with Economics then followed it with Masters in Apllied Mathematics for Scientific Computing. Left to me, I would say do Mathematics - cos you will cover some statistics modules anyway. That way you have more options.
