Enugu State Governor, Sullivan Chime, has returned to Nigeria after spending more than four months abroad, the State Commissioner of Information, Chuks Ugwoke said.
In a telephone interview with Channels Television, Mr Ugwoke confirmed that the governor arrived in Abuja on Thursday morning aboard an early morning British Airways flight and went straight to the Enugu State Governor’s Lodge in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The governor had been reportedly admitted in a hospital in London for an ailment that has generated a lot of discussions within and outside Enugu State.

He was recently visited by his colleagues, from Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Benue State, Rotimi Amaechi, Godswill Akpabio and Gabriel Suswam. Akpabio announced on their arrival that Chime should be in the country by Sunday.

Following their visit, Mr Akpabio had said in Lagos on Friday that Mr Chime would return home within 10 days
