Forty three years after the Civil War, the Americans have released their dossiers—21,000 pages of diplomatic dispatches by agents of the United States government.

We’ve combed through them all to reveal the Biafra story, the way never done before.ojukwu during Biafra warRead about the accounts of prominent individuals like Chief Richard Akinjide, Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu himself, General Olusegun Obasanjo and others on the war.

Read Zik’s story on why Ojukwu hated him; why Akinjide said Ojukwu suffered from megalomania; the reasons Ojukwu gave for killing Victor Banjo and others.

Read about the role of a Catholic reverend father, Kevin Doheny, Ojukwu’s intelligence director.Read why former head of state, then Lt. Col. Murtala Mohammed, wrote a letter to General Yakubu Gowon, saying:

“One wonders at times: why fight to keep Nigeria as one country if two and half million people in a state of the country cannot live together happily…?”

^^ You have no shame!

The aspirations of biafra was set on the principle of differentiation. Many years after, you are no different than the Hausa that your warlord vehemently declared as backward and savage. If I was Igbo I will kill off every new-found-biafran I run into. You continue to imprison and scare people who have since realized the falsehood of your propaganda and sought a new independent life and brand for their way forward.

What have you made of the legacy of differentiation inspired by your warlord? Given everything that Igbos went through, should your renewal not be disciplined and defined? Take all the mansions owned by Igbos in Lagos, Abuja, Kano, Port Harcourt and supplant them in alaigbo, take all the scattered and nomad Igbos all around the country and their deep pockets and put them in alaigbo, instead of taking your commodities from east to markets elsewhere, make those markets come to you and pay you tax in alaigbo, instead of robbers and kidnappers running the elites and elders of alaigbo out of town, turn it around so the criminals are intimidated by the weight and balance of justice......then after all this is done, take a look at alaigbo and witness to the independence of the land upon which many lost their lives and limbs and suffered the humiliation of hunger and poverty. Only then would those losses have the worth for which the struggle, the "differentiation" is finally achieved.

Nigeria was the enemy in the 1960s....this is the 2010s, Igbo has a new enemy and it is not Nigeria. Look within!
