I am constantly amazed that people give China's willingness to carry out straight batter or exchange with African countries as a plus for Africans. The so called terms attached to most trade, loans and grants from the west are geared towards the long term growth of the economies. These same strings are being attached to loans and grants given by EU to their member states of Ireland, Italy, Greece, etc. Yet most will have us believe that the terms are only targeted at African nations. Haven't countries like Argentina, Brazil, Malaysia, etc gone through reforms instigated by the IMF and come out stronger? If this is genuine which of course has some faction of truth in it because, the CIA actually created and funded Al Qaeda. How could our leaders and their Northern counterpart be so crude?
