Dreamer Pro, don't know if u are from akwa ibom and if not ask interview that have been there or living there before u come online to say what you don't know, I don't blame you anyway na internet cause am... So what will u say of a governor that has billions and billions of naira from oil revenue available to him, with highly educated people with visions and enthusiasm to contribute towards the success of the state, not to mention the masses, who were ready to cooperate with Akpabio to make Akwa Ibom State the envy of the other 35 states.
But when he was sworn into office in 2007, instead of taking the people along with him, he turned to a governance style characterized by vindictiveness, arrogance, assassinations, intolerance, kidnappings, and cultism. He chose to surround himself with a bunch of thieves and cultists and decided to ignore the advice of well-meaning people of Akwa Ibom State.
When some in the diaspora made attempts to contribute towards the progress of the state by engaging in constructive criticism of policies they knew were not going to be good for Akwa Ibom, Akpabio ignored their honest intentions and instead relied on the advice of opportunists, such as Clement Ikpatt, who has not visited Akwa Ibom State since he traveled to the United States nearly 30 years ago.
Back in Akwa Ibom, Despite the more than a trillion naira Akpabio’s government has received in revenue since 2007, there is really nothing Godswill Akpabio can show in the State for the money, other than cosmetic dressings, where only the major streets in the state capital of Uyo are paved, with elephant structures, such as the so-called E-Library, cited here and there.
The roads that lead to other parts of the State are in shambles, unemployment is at its highest, crime is escalating exponentially and available information are that with the coming of the 2015 Election, kidnappings have begun to resurface. Poverty is grinding and their young girls have resorted to prostitution rather than engage in armed robbery for survival.
While the masses are suffering, while unemployment is high, while poverty is prevalent, Akpabio and his brothers are living like Kings. Akpabio used $US45 million of the people’s money to buy an aircraft for himself. He has bulldozed a multimillion naira home, which he owned in Uyo. The land where the home stood has been fenced around and sources say Akpabio plans to build a house, which at its completion will cost at least N1 billion naira.
Akpabio rarely spends a night in the state. His frequent absence from Akwa Ibom has left a vacuum for crooks and the good-for-nothing-elements to take over the control of the state. He has no clue of what is going on in a place where he is supposed to govern. His brothers, who were not elected by the people, are the ones who run the affairs of the state to the detriment of the welfare of everyone.
In a failed effort to deceive the people, those who stand to gain from Akpabio’s failed style of governance have resorted to communicating with the people through propaganda and lies by bribing mainstream news organizations to sing and praise Akpabio. The truth is Akwa Ibom people know what is going on; they are not stupid, at least not as imagined by Akpabio.
All these have caused a strong anger and resentments among the people. The elite of the society do not want anything to do with Akpabio. At a recent congregation of Akwa Ibom leaders at Nnenyin Attah’s funeral service, Akpabio was ignored by everyone and was booed by the masses. The masses in the street curse him day in and day out. The other day, someone challenged him by saying that if he (Akpabio) is curious to know how the people feel he should walk alone in the street without his battalion of security agents.
As if his problems were not enough to fill the cup, today Obong Victor Attah (his former boss) came and floored Akpabio, taking away from him the least remaining respect he was accorded to by the people. Attah described him as a man with inferiority complex, which is something many of us already knew. Attah described him as a non-intellectual, a truth which many of us already knew and have been saying all along—this may explain why Akpabio could not pass the Nigerian Bar Examination, which could have enabled him to practice law in Nigeria.
I wonder where you get your news from, probably you watching the back of your tv. Too much daft commentators on nairaland

I think we are being unfair to GEJ.When we say,the PDP has been in power for 14 years, that is true, but has GEJ been there for 14 year?
Political parties are mere platforms to seek political office by people who feel they have something they could offer. The party can not contest an election without a candidate. For all i know, Fashola can decide to run for president under the PDP if he feels they over him the best platform.
GEJ, should not be blamed for the years he was not in office, but instead should be accessed from the years he was at the helm. After all,OBJ was there for 8 years and he was not subjected to all these allegations and stone-throwing,despite the fact that he withheld the allocation for Lagos for several months.Let afford him the chance to prove himself,he can not do it alone.God Bless Nigeria!

If APC is going to win the presidency its not going to be in 2015. They aren't a national party yet, more work still has to be done by APC.

pls can you define what you mean by 'AVERAGE NIGERIAN'?

What is so good about the leaders of APC that will convince Nigeria to believe that this sick country shall be healed by them? They are past leaders. What did they do in their admin. to save their states/Nigeria? Infact, I see nothing good in APC and even PDP. Only that Nigerians are afraid to act - Revolution is the key to freedom in Nigeria

NIGERIA IS WEAK, IT NEEDS NEW FRESH BLOOD TO SURVIVE. ABEG BUHARI IS TOO OLD TO LEAD US ANYWHERE BUT THE GRAVE. WHAT VISION DOES HE HAVE AT THIS AGE?

SECONDLY, BUHARI SIMPLY WANTS TO BE PRESIDENT OUT OF SELFISH INTEREST, HIS FRIENDS IN THE ARMY (OBJ, ABACHA, IBB) HAVE ALL BECOME PRESIDENTS, AND HE BELIEVES ITS HIS TURN AND SOMETHING HE MUST DO BEFORE HE DIES. THATS WHY HE CRIED.

YOU CAN BET ME, BUHARI WILL NEVER FIND ANY PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE SELECTED TO REPRESENT APC GOOD ENOUGH, UNLESS HIMSELF. THEN HE WILL WANT TO CONTEST FOR PRESIDENCY, ONCE HE DOES, THIEFNIBU WILL ALSO WANT TO CONTEST. THEN THEY WILL HAVE BUHARI/THEIFNIBU 2015 TICKET. WHICH MOST NIGERIANS WILL REJECT . LEAVING GEJ AS THE BETTER OPTION.

I AM THINKING OF CONTESTING 2015, because NIGERIANS WILL NEITHER VOTE PDP OR APC, THAT IS IF APC DOES NOT EXPLODE BECAUSE OF SELFISH INTEREST BEFORE JUNE THIS YEAR.

Call it "Stockholm syndrome" and perhaps you won't be too far from the truth, which is Nigerians will trust the devil we know more than the Angel we don't. And herein lies the problem because most times, we also distrust the devil we don't know too. This debate will continue as long as APC keep parading themselves as the "saviours" or angels of Nigeria. In another breath too, they must not deal with issues PDP style - nepotism, extreme godfatherism etc. because that gives opportunity to say "well they are not too different from the PDP. How they deal with this phase of public acceptability will go a long way and what these private meetings suggest is there is an awful lot of back stage scheming going on

take dat: The merchants of doom, hate speech dispensers, bigots, armchair critics and spectocrats who wants the best but sees the worst in the entire political process and participants, those who have the solution to all the problems bedevilling the country but do nothing about them. The aforementioned are the ones who are tired of PDP but remain politically docile while waiting for a party made of saints and perfectionists to challenge and wrestle power from PDP. Instead of them to show support for the alternative party which will make PDP take Nigerians seriously between now and the next elections, their job is to keep condemning the alternative, which will make the words of an erstwhile PDP chairman, that PDP will rule Nigeria for 60 years either for good or bad because he knows that Nigerians only pay lip service to change!

What kind of warped logic is this?

What do you call illiteracy or Literacy?

You want to tell me that Tinubu who aids claim reads even during flights is an illiterate.
You want to tell me that Fashola, a San is not educated.

What has age got to do with this?

Bankole is still circa 40, what did he do in the house?

Lawan who collected bribe from Otedola is around 40.

Elumelu, your age bracket, who as the head of PHCN probe committee was
