I've got an extreme phobia for needles, however, diabetes runs in my family and recently I've been expiriencing some symptoms: constant thirst, fatigue, weight loss, hunger, waking up weak and tired. Any alternatives to blood tests for diabetes? |

If there's another way to get ur blood out,u can take dat route.Seriously the test has to be done on ur blood and getting it out will only be by a needle.It's just a prick and doesn't take more than a minute to get ur blood.Just brace up to it. The symptoms u described are a pointer.U need to seek medical attention. |

Even if glucose is all over your urine, the doctor will still need your blood tests for a formal diagnosis of diabetes. Also, blood tests are used in monitoring the management in cases of DKA |
