I and my freinds were talking about this.........Nigeria is a country that has so many languages, but english is the language almost every nigerian understand...Some people dont understand yoruba, and other language. My question is, how would we have commuinicated, with people from other ethnic group, if english wasnt there? |

things would have been much worse. Hate to admit this but English Language has done a lot for Nigerians both in Nigeria, and out of Nigeria. |

Unfortunately, English language is one of the reasons Nigeria is still existing as one. |

well Nigeria was never meant to be 1 country. Nigeria's existence depended on the way the colonist British Empire were thinking. if they wanted , they could add Cameroon and Benin to Nigeria. or the could subtract Hausaland from it. Nigeria is an artificial creation based on british politics. 2 Likes |

êxactly. there is no such thing as a "NIgerian" ethnic group/people or an "AFrican" ethnic group / people. we are all different people residing within these man-made boudaries. |
