DBounty: Operational system as in? Pls how do u mean?

we v 3 kinds of operational systems; stagnant , flow-through n re-circulatary. These systems r also applicable 2 grow-out n they v ther verious stocking density,advantages n disadvantages. This is why most fish farmers fail, we need an indept knowlege in all operations in fish farming.stagnant system is dat method by which we change ur pond water wen we notice dat its bad(2 or 3 days interval) as d case may b,flow-through is d method by which we make pond(vat) water to go out through d outlet n d same quantity of water come in through d inlet 4 @ list 2hrs twice daily while re-circulatary is d method wher water goes 2 d pond or vat 4fm d overhead tanks n 4rm d vat or pond 2 various compactments wher d water is treated n send back 2 d overhead tanks wher it goes back to d pond contenously(24hrs) without d fishes noticing it. So which of dem do u v in place?

@lanrelan,they are not feeding well. How do u determine they have had enough?let's assume u feed them well,you might have over stocked your pond which creates room for each fish struggling for space.

yah, u r really new. Please do me a favour, feed them @ list 3 tymes a day without waisting ur feed(making sure dey r well fed) n feed dem 6hr to 10hrs b4 u change pond wAter ( I kw u use stargnant system )please make sure ur pond water is turbidity,ph n temperature rit, if u notice any. Any form of carnibalism

Good P.M house, hws d weekend, i met with a fish farmer in Kaduna whose farm is located at Angwan Muazu in Kaduna, He told me he intends relocating to Kwara and would want to sell his farm, He has two earthing ponds and two concrete ponds already built, which could take about 10,000 fishes in all, it is two plot of land with a three bedroom flat that as already been built and also a poultry for rearing chickens and with enough space, there is also a close by river which passes close to his house, he gets his water from the river and also has a well in his house. any one intrested can get across to me via 08037593744

Pls, we need to get this right. Practically, there are no two farms that are the same!. The more you visit other farms the wealthier your experience.
Your farm setting has a lot to do in hatchery mechanism.
I can vividly tell you here that as regards hatching no amount of talk here can satisfied ur need. Invite an experience person for your first and second hatching and you are good to carry on from there.

Meanwhile, i have over 20,000 fingerlings read for sales.

Hatching is a practical thing, No amount of my write ups will do justice.. Like what lexy91 rightly said, I will also advice you employ someone to spawn for u, or you learn it from a hatchery..
