Hello, I want to get a z10, but for the non availability of a native instagram app. I hear it can be side-loaded. Is it working perfectly for anyone?pls respond!

I've been using the ported instagram app for over two months now. It works perfectly, the only thing is that it's an older version of the app so you can't see instagram videos and you don't have the "Photos of You" tab in your profile. Other than that it's perfect

On another note, does anyone know if any Nigerian network has pushed 10.1 update for the z10? I've been waiting for MTN for ages Btw Airtel hasn't pushed it either, checked today

i think Airtel has pushed it and i know Etisalat and/or Glo have pushed it...Seems MTN is the only one lagging behind

I think any bb10 owner that knows about Nairaland probably knows about Crackberry too -__- the problem is downloading the 10.1 os. It's almost 1GB. If a network pushes the update it won't be up to that so I'm just looking for an easier option. BTW os 10.2 is in its earliest beta stage so it's highly unstable. If you do manage to install it get ready for endless reboots

You could be a beta tester, all you need is a blackberry ID and password.
And I strongly believe Bbm channels will replace Facebook And Twitter in the no distant future... it's a much better platform for adverts and it could be used as a blog as well. My definition of Bbm channels: a mini-social-network/blog integrated into BBM

And it works with all OS not only 10.1..

same thing's been happening to me bro. Then yesterday MTN cut me off entirely I think it's a general thing happening to those using MTN Bis. It even happens to bb10 users that payed for the normal BlackBerry plans.

i bought 2 one for myself and one for my brother
the one with my brother is showing H network and sometimes h and it wont call out
the one i have is coming up with NO SIM DETECTED at the moment after just 2 weeks and i am sure the sim card is working perfectly,please choose another brand of blackberry if you are a true fan

My Z10 doesn't display the senders name for sms even when I have them in my contacts.

OS upgrades didn't resolve the issue too ( currently on 10.1.0.4543.

I read on crackberry about the smart dialing option but my phone doesn't have it. I have the STL100-1.

Hehehe, i thought a blackberry fan called droids crappy (simply coz someone said he'd love a dual sim bb10 device), and here i find someone who is complaining about the Super expensive Q10. Point is "every OS or OEM has its own challenges"..

the contact name not showing in SMS is a region thing, i expect it should get fixed with time and yes, its because smart dialing is not set up properly in NIgeria. what happens is if you save contact the traditional way, the name will not show in SMS because SMS numbers come in full international format (+234.....). if you save your contacts in international format, when calls come in in traditional format, then the name wont show

i have used my Z10 in the USA and i can assure you it is not like that because they have a more structured database

why do u post something so obviously untrue like this...sorry you got a defective unit but there are millions of the Q10 in use and are not experiencing what you are experiencing

i visit crackberry everyday and i'm sure you did not see 75% claim of defect...a recent survey just confirmed more Q10 users are very satisfied with the phone than even the Z10 users are satisfied with theirs
