Eric14 is right about the Ned VS Jamie fight. While Ned was already (expectedly due to age) panting and running out of gas, Jamie looked fresh and could go on all day. Yet, he didn't dominate Ned for all the time the fight lasted.

That should count for something. Against "now" older swordsmen in their prime, Jamie would gladly take a back seat!
