https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASL-VF3VQvA Nigeria's Growing Interest of Foreign Investors - Part 1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oey2KseQgWs Nigeria's Growing Interest of Foreign Investors - Part 2 The growing interest of foreign investors and government programs designed to address the country's infrastructure deficit are driving the creation of specialised funds in the Nigerian market. These funds pool together resources from investors seeking better returns and the issuers and fund managers then invest these funds in a variety of assets including the stock market and infrastructure. Eye on Nigeria's Capital Market examines the type of products that are being created. |

lakside s: With all this, yet nigerians are still suffering The truth is; all i see around me are opportunities.... These new investors; they are going to be needing a lot of support services; Protocol, security, food (preferably their kind of food), digital maps of Nigeria, heck; some smart dude is going to manage their bank account and probably will eventually hold a key position in their Finance or Treasury department... yet someone says; it's hogwash..or smokescreen... ***sighs*** wake up people!!! A friend that got laid off from a new generation bank has gone to China to learn how to make their food...she'll soon come back and start raking in money...and employ one of these shortsighted slow pokes (as gate men of course) who are waiting for the government to spoon feed them. Nigeria is the future... and the future is here!!! #teamNigeria 10 Likes |

Nice job Op. One lady opened a thread the other day arguing that Ngozi's fact about the annual growth rate of the Nigerian economy at 6.5 percent was wrong. I couldn't believe her ignorance when she boldly said there were no foreign investments in the country. You would never see such people in this thread since they live in negativity. Once again, welldone op. To the Fresh Air Team, make we carry go!! 2 Likes |

please we need more postive news like this, i live in France and whenever i tell people im from Nigeria, they think its one poor under-developed country, not knowing NIGERIA is the 2Nd richest country in Africa and also one of the most developed countries in Africa, others dont even know Nigeria... Even my friends from North africa think nigeria is a poor under-developed country because thats what CNN and BBC shows them... If BBC and CNN shits you, would you shit yourselves aswell? please more positive news like this should be on the front page, and we should learn to keep some of our dirty linen to ourselves, the whole world musnt know when something bad happens here! God bless moderators of Niaraland for having listening ears... You have shown graciousness when we talked you down. However, remember that this piece of invention of yours has great potentials just like Nigeria. You don't want to be written off as a serious source of information because your front page has recently been crowded with pictures of wannabe stars who wore what outfit better or pictures of immoral people who took in for another while married to one. etc... |

This is really music to my ears! About time one would say, but then Rome was not built in a day. More attention to infrastructure will definitely see exponential growth as Nigeria becomes the new frontier. You will be amazed how easily the green passport starts to get 'enjoy your stay sir' around the world airports irrespective of our past. All hands on deck and let us fight corruption, embibe some discipline, show accountability to make the dividends a significant legacy to be bequeathed. WORLD HERE WE COME! 1 Like |

Bravo. We pray for more investments. We pray for less scavenging! Some of the names on that list are known scavengers. They bring in one billion and take out 2 billion in 1 year. Nigeria must seek for the investments, where locals are employed to senior positions. Where shares are placed in the stock market. And so on... We say yes to investing and NO to scavenging! |

awodman: Someone answered your question already: BlackBaron: Our country is the only country amongst the 37th-41st biggest gdps/economies(rankings based on different international financial organisations) in the world that still manages to be ranked low in the human development index (hdi) ^^^^That's all you need to know about the poverty level in Nigeria. If you need more info., hit google - I don't educate fools for free. Just search for: poverty level in Nigeria. |
