Wen i hear 'husband and wife',i smh.
Why?
If one cant just be a husband on his own,he can only be a husband of anoda.and one cant just be a wife on her own,she must be a wife of anoda.

So when we refer to man and woman as husband and wife.we literally mean that the man is a husband of an entity(certainly not a person) and the woman is a wife of that same entity..crazy!
So one shud refer to a married couple as Man and wife or alternatively as woman and husband(e.g sir-leaf of liberia,okonjo-iweala...lol).
