Wrong, check ur substitution, u made a slight error. d ans is 105

You are right, though it's confusing too. . . .

a= 3/2, r= 3 and d= -9/2

substituting into the sum of the 5th term (a+4d+ar4) gives:

3/2 + 4(-9/2) + 3/2(3)^4

: 3/2 + 4 * -9/2 + 3/2 * 81

: 3/2 - 18/1 + 243/2

: 3/2 + 243/2 - 18/1

: 3 + 243 - 36 all over the LCM 2= 210/2 = 105 the most correct answer

Yeah, I fixed the error; I substituted r for d. I did it in a rush! No offense Chief, but try to correct folks with your workings next time. This is not an exams hall, we are only here to help...

My brother, he that thinks he's the best and an oga will fall indefinitely. Just because I have a knowledge of the subject, I must not think I'm the best or see my self as an oga because I'm very sure there are lots of people out there weep are far better than I am
