If you are in computing field, professional exams would be the best bet, otherwise stick to Masters 1 Like |

Professional exams. Trust me, those exams would serve as a boost in your career, especially if you are in Nigeria. Do we really learn in schools? La cram, la pour things. With professional exams, you can have qualifications even outside your career path. Be wise!  8 Likes |

I'm an Economist too; just concluded my MBA, heading for Msc(Economics) after chartering in a professional body (name withheld)which is on now. This is because of the nature of my Job...You know the nature of your career. Plan it around it. If you are interested in lecturing, proceed for your Masters. |

It all depends on your Course of study! Some courses requries a professional cert to back it up, for some,you just have to get your Masters Degree..... Since you studied economics,I would advice you go for your Masters! If you have extra cash by the side η you wanna choke up your head with Knowledge,do some prof..courses by d side.. 1 Like |

I read Economics too. You can go for certifications like ICAN, ACCA, CIPM etc for a change in career path. I did that and I'm fully into the accounting profession. But if you want to be a professional in your course of study, go for a Masters degree in Economics or any other related ones. You can engage in both as well... |

With a Bsc in Economics, you do not have to choose, go for a Master's degree and take professional exams as well...I mean recognised exams o....not a Lagos-based professional exam o. Economics is a very versatile course and with that, I am 100% u will not linger for long in the labour market before you get a good job...depending on how well you market yourself through your resume and interview skills.
