WHAT IS PDMS
The full name of PDMS is PLANT DESIGN MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS.It is a sophisticated soft ware package developed by AVEVA Inc. PDMS allows teams of designers to work together or separately, each with their own specialist
3D colour-shaded environment, but able to view all of the design going on around
them.
As the designers work, PDMS builds a sophisticated plant database from which all of the
layout and detail drawings can be produced, together with accurate Material Take Off
(MTO) information and all kinds of project reports such as Line List or Valve Schedules.


WHY DO I NEED PDMS.
The design industry is moving into the age of seamless designs.Sophisticated softwares are developed and used in projects of unimaginable proportions.Top multinational Companies like Shell,Chevron,Mobil etc are adapting the latest technology advancement in the design industry.For One to keep abreast of this ever changing world of design and be relevant in the emerging globalization of design outfit and also to fit into the Nigerian local Content Policy Initiative.It is imperative that one must be grounded in the use of PDMS especially in structural,mechanical,electrical,instrumentation and piping designs.

1. PDMS Design
(Equipment Design, Piping Design and Basic Steelwork Design)
This module develops the basic skills for using VANTAGE Plant Design for Equipment Design and is useful not only to equipment engineers and designers, but also to
Instrument and electrical, architectural, piping, layout and structural engineers.

Piping designers will learn how to create and manipulate pipe routes in VANTAGE Plant Design. Also, how the system handles out of spec items, pipework connectivity,
site and shop materials and some basic isometric production. This module develops the skills for creating and modifying basic steelwork elements in VANTAGE Plant Design.

2. PDMS Basic Administration (ADVANCED)

Although entitled ‘Basic’ Administration, attendees on this course must have a comprehensive understanding of many areas of PDMS, as the course will enable the attendee to create and control any size of VANTAGE Plant Design project, and manage associated data and hardware.

Price N50, 000.00 (Sundays 4pm – 7pm)
Note: All trainees will embark on a project that will enable them to see the live application of PDMS on a project.
