Dear nairalanders I need your help on this issue that have been botherings me. I am a student of electrical/electronics engineering in a Nigerian polytechnic currently on IT, am aged 24 and by the end of this year I will be going back school to complete my HND. I will graduate a HND holder because I won't be going 2 the university through direct entry. Now my question is, can I go for masters degree and higher? After ur HND u should enrol for postgraduate diploma (PHD), is a year program after which you can go for masters degree then doctorate degree (PHD) 2 Likes 1 Share |

THE Federal Government has directed all polytechnics nationwide to stop the conduct and award of post-Higher National Diploma (HND) or postgraduate diploma which is stipulated outside their mandate in law. |

You should and you must. Our society doesn't favor your remaining on that platform cos you tend to achieve less combined with the so many discrimination in the country. You could either do a top-up to a Bsc. Or start a PGD (Post graduate Diploma) and then you proceed to your masters and phd. You really have to pls |
