My fellow Nairalander, Kindly give me ur knowledge about where the frequency or how is the frequency is being produce in generator. I ve inverter unit when ever there is PHCN supply it will charge well but if I use my generator 6kva it will not charge. I was told that the inverter charges with two parameters voltage and frequency. We measured the voltage it was 230v but we didn't ve instrument to measure the frequency. Later I was told I need to change the AVR of the generator. My question is this. 1. Where is the AVR located in 6kva petrol generator? 2. Is it AVR that produce frequency? Kindly help me out. Your technical contribution will be highly appreciated Thanks |

Zector, With your high end Inverter installations you should do away with those generators, get some solar modules on the roof and auction the generator for life. |
