tonydoes: i know a lot of people (not on this forum though)who still have their status as Application under review" i want to beleive this process is being done in batches...if you fall under the above don't despair there is still hope...there are a lot of qualified applicants that vied for this shell vacancy..they want to take their time

I am also part of the Application Under Review group too. Praying and keeping faith for Great News. Please those of you with SRD dates, is you SRD location Lagos or PH or where?

I applied for HSSE as first choice and Upstream as Second choice.

@Mbkite.. Its like ur SRD date have bin fixed. Pls share with us. How long did it take after d interview 4 shell 2 reply u.

@ogwulumba, there is no specific time interval frm my little findings. Some got response after a week, 2weeks, a month n so on. But d time interval btw which u get ur response n official invitation to attend SRD is always short. It could be one day, trust me. Wish u all d best.

Guys my status has bn pending interview since first week of june o. Any body in dat situation dat has not bn scheduled 4 interview?

My first choice was Commercial-Finance. I did my phone interview on Friday(12th July) last week.

On Monday(15th July) afternoon my HR status changed to COMPLETED INTERVIEW, then late last night I noticed it had changed to PENDING FINAL ASSESSMENT.

Though, I am yet to get a mail formally inviting me for SRD.

My status is also on 'pending final assessment'. Has urs chnged n did u get a mail from them?

Like many of us here, I was looking for information on the SRD, doing all I could to prepare. Well I've just gotten back from mine and all I can tell you is: THERE IS NO REAL WAY TO PREPARE FOR THE SRD.

It is a daunting 12-hour day full of assessments: online, written, reflective, case study, presentation, question&answer sessions and a competency based interview.

REMAIN CALM AND JUST BE YOURSELF. The interview will expose all your strengths and maybe some of your flaws. Because it takes place over a long period of time, there's not much else you can do. Just do the best you can.

As I said before, as for preparation, don't bother yourself too much. Just go there and show what you're made of.

Please i want to ask is anybody here or do you know anyone, that applied to HSSE and Upstream or Read Environmental Management in the University that has had their Phone interview or SRD dates.

You have spoken well.... Times without number i have told many this same thing... I had a bloody head ache after my SRD.... please tell me... did anyone tell you to send in your document after the exercise..... like waec certificate and alll

Aha. Lest I forget, PLEASE TAKE ALL YOUR ORIGINAL CREDENTIALS TO YOUR SRD (WAEC, BIRTH CERT, UNDERGRAD CERT, NYSC, PROFESSIONAL EXAMS, PASSPORT PHOTO). They NEED to be sighted. Some people nearly got disqualified for not bringing theirs. Shell won't pay for your accommodation / transportation until after the SRD. You'll be asked to send in a claims form documenting your transportation and accommodation expenses.

You'll be given a briefing pack once you're invited for the SRD. Please practice the etray exercise there. It will help you get familiar with that particular exercise. Other than that, keep a cool and clear head, relax and show your worth.
